please guys... can you advise about travel agencies, that you are dealing with. And may be you also can recommend some certain trip that you went to. I want to buy some nice package for few days, kind of “all inclusive” or so...
so please, any advices regarding the agencies and the trips are welcomed. Thanks.

Emirates airlines sells flights - Emirates Holidays sells packages. I took a package trip to Morocco back in 2005 and it was great. In reality the tour element is offered by lots of tour operators and then onsold to airlines. So if you purchased it through Emirates Holidays, Qatar Airways Holidays, or you bought the flights and tour seperately, you will most likely be on the same trip.

Doing it yourself is great if you are going to a single city, or perhaps a few. But when you are going somewhere historic and you will be travelling around a fair bit, the tour is a great idea. You don't have to worry about flights, accomodation, looking for most meals each day, and you get taken straight to the sites of interest (no standing on street corners with guide books and maps!) and you also get guides once inside.

There are a few good tour sites you could look at too - try www.intrepidtravel.com for some inspiration. Even if you don't take their trips you could still benefit from seeing the itineraries they use, and then tailoring them to suit you.

they do much better deals than qatar airways or emirates....u can give them a try.... i went to malaysia and langkawi via them...and it was an excellent trip....u get to plan ur own package rather than have to take a readymade package from QA(which imho is overpriced)

Check out the "Holidays" section on Qatar Airways. We recently went to Sri Lanka on one of their trips and it was fantastic. There is NO WAY that you would have done the trip we did cheaper if you had done the bookings on your own.

I did everything through Qatar Airways and Aamal Travel [Gettco] at City Centre. Speak to Michelle there - she is good.

Have a great trip.

Oryx, my first priority is Spain, then comes Portugal, then Morocco…

Drew, it is a good idea to tailor the trip by myself.. especially since I have never done it before (and as known, I like to try new activities!).. any tips, prompts?

Do airlines like Emirates or Qatar Airways offer “all inclusive trips”? I just never knew about it.

Thanks!

I've booked packages from Emirates without too much fuss. Their number is 438 4455 (different from the office number).

I once attempted to book a holiday package with Qatar Airways. Perhaps I was calling on a bad day or something, but they were 100% useless. I would NEVER waste my time trying to book with them ever again.

I usually use Regency Travel, but it's a bit hit and miss about the quality of staff. There are people who are great, and some who aren't, it just depends on who you talk to.

If you have the time to tailor your own package it's so much easier and cheaper just to book it all yourself online directly with the carriers and the hotels. I resort to the packages when I want a trip that involves a lot of ground transport and sightseeing.
