I bought my Uncle's car, I'd like to ask what are the requirements I need to prepare in order for me to transfer the insurance and car registration under my name? And what are the procedure as well?

Please help, thanks :)

there is a new rule about noc. no need for noc for transfer of ownership regardless of your sponsor gov't/private. in your situation, you can go direct to muroor with your original id, id of the owner, new insurance under your name and technical inspection report.first thing you do in the muroor is go to typing guys and tell them to complete the form for transfer. second go to the muroor counter with the form and attached the mentioned papers. tell the clerk that you will do renewal and transfer at the same time. he/she will ask both of you buyer and seller to sign the form and pay 300 qr by atm or credit card so be sure you have your bank card with you. if there is trafic violation the previous owner will pay it before they will transfer or depends upon your agreement with your uncle.

chevydjak, if the car more than 3yrs old first you have to do the technical inspection, then proceed to insurance (if you do the inspection at the industrial area you can also do the insurance renewal there) ask the typist to fill up the two form (renewal form and transfer of ownership). If you are not working from any QI companies nor Husband sponsor then you must have your NOC from your company.

forget the car inspection . if it is first party insurance, then you need to go and transfer it under your name. The first owner have to sign otherwise if you need to go, you need to have an noc and his id copy. then you both go and do transfer of ownership. if it is third party insurance, you both go to Traffic department and transfer ownership.

thanks...  The situation is like this, we need to renew the estimara tomorrow. And we want to renew it under my name. Which one do we need to change first, the insurance or the estimara?
