I am interested in sending my baby (2 years old) to this nursery but before that I would like to know the experiences of parents who have already enrolled their kids in TT.
absolutely. we have always had play groups which involve everything mentioned by ghazalz. we have had skating, bowling, parks, even food activities, all that. there are also sporting events, but that depends on availability in the area. as well as also other parents with more talent in areas (math, language, etc.) have also volunteered to have weekly academic groups. I think the resources are ample and especially when parents can get together, are virtually unlimited. I would not designate my daughter as lacking in any social skills at all.
Homeschooling for experimental basis can be done for nursery or K.G goers… It doesn’t prohibit a child to interact with other children. Parents organize different activities for social interaction such as use of library, Zoo, swimming, horse riding, gymnastic, shopping Centre etc. And I wonder it's now very familiar among the most educated parents here in Karachi and they are meeting regularly to provide social interaction to their home-schoolers among their age group...
I homeschool my daughter, and I always have with the exception of a few months when I was alone with medical problems. I feel this is the best option for her, and her motivation to learn is what reinforces my decision, which to me is not even a question. She is two full grade levels ahead of her peers in some areas, yet in others she is right on target. Homeschooling allows me the opportunity to create a curriculum specifically designed for her needs, unlike "traditional" schools. She is also very well behaved and articulate, and I am very proud of her. Another benefit is if you move around alot, this is one area of life that can remain consistent. It does require a lot of effort and dedication, but it is very, very worth it. But back to the OP, I think they mean child care- not school for a 2 year old? I cannot be sure.
If one intends Homeschooling, It becomes a great responsibility for them...parents should chalk out the program beforehand and they have to bound themselves as a role model for their kids through out the life...I think homeschooling teaches parents as well along with the kids.
P.s. my Church mate has 3 sons that are being home-schooled. And the way they are being brought up is just beautiful. All of them are so well mannered and unusually smarter than the other kids of their age.
Im gonna get my future kids home-schooled till its time for University so that they are not influenced by the world. Its the best thing to do for a child. Home schooling is expensive though in Canada. But I dont know if such practices take place in Qatar.
Some parent who are not satisfied with the school's techniques, tools and the curriculum and they seriously think about to educate their own child for starting years...and it's very popular all over the world; http://dohahomeeducators.wordpress.com/welcome/http://karachi-home-education.blogspot.com/2009/07/umaimah-mendhro-
