Think Pink Qatar, with support from iloveqatar.net, a volunteer based charity, jointly with Qatar National Cancer Society (QNCS) will organise a breast cancer walk on the Corniche on October 25.

The campaign aims to raise funds and provide emotional support to breast cancer patients in Qatar. The proceeds of the event will go to the QNCS to help in providing treatment of breast cancer cases, said Karen Al Kharouf, Director of Think Pink. The walk will start at 5:00 pm. The starting point will be near the Islamic Museum and the walk will be ended at a park close to the Doha Sheraton, said organisers of the event.

Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani, QNCS Chairman, will address the gathering at the conclusion of the walk. There will be music, food and drinks served during the walk.

“A day before the Walk Day, we will organise a workshop at a private hospital to provide breast screening, said Al Kharouf said. The name of the hospital will be announced later.

Registration for the breast cancer walk was opened at QNCS's premises. "The registration teem is working in two shifts from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.”
