Sudan women to be stoned for adultery
So leaving an orphaned child behind in this already ugly world (for the most part) is okay? Shariah Law........... humane? I think not. No fair trial, the man gets off with no penatly, but the woman faces death by a truly BARBARIC (and very backward) sentence.
May god save the souls of people that actually condone such dispicable and inhumane practices. Muslims worldwide should not allow such horror.

Sudan women to be stoned for adultery: AmnestyPublished: Wednesday, 21 March, 2007, 08:38 AM Doha Time
KHARTOUM: Two Sudanese women have been sentenced to death by stoning for adultery after a trial in which they had no lawyer and which used Arabic, not their first language, the rights group Amnesty International said.
Sadia Idriss Fadul was sentenced on February 13 and Amouna Abdallah Daldoum on March 6 and their sentences could be carried out at any time, the London-based group said in a statement released late Monday.
North Sudan implements Shariah law.
“The women had no lawyer during their trial and were not able to defend themselves, as their first languages are those of their ethnic groups,” Amnesty said.
Both women are from non-Arab tribes but the proceedings were in Arabic and no interpreter was provided, Amnesty said. Their trial took place in central Al Gezira state.
“One of the women, Sadia Idriss Fadul, has one of her children with her in prison,” Amnesty said. Faysal el-Bagir, a Sudanese human rights activist, said sentences of death by stoning were rare, “but we have heard that in this area there have been other such judgments.”
The male accused in Fadul’s case was let off because there was not enough evidence against him. Witnesses are usually required to gain a conviction and forensic tests are not normally used in such cases.
Under Sudan’s penal code, anyone who is married and has sex outside wedlock shall be punished by execution by stoning. If they are unmarried, they are lashed, Amnesty said. – Reuters
Ah ok. Sorry, did not know, thought you were saying Saudi and I was going to have to take the piss out of you. :P No worries.
I didn't say Saudi...... I said Saiidi. Saiidi's in egypt are usually the farmers and illiterate. Jokes are made on them, much like the Irish, blond, carabinieri type jokes.
I knew that Hamlet would know.

Hey, moonbeam, Not all Saudi's have chips on their shoulders, and very few agree with the laws of their country.
Hamlet. :P Why don't you go dig up Samuel Huntington and ask his opinion. He might possibly be the only person who would care about yours.
Hamlet, so you actually agree with this sentance? It's not rotton Middle Eastern Culture. It's a rotton antiquated LAW! That's the problem with people, they have an ENORMOUS CHIP ON THEIR SHOULDER! What are you Saiidi?
I grew up where you come from, and I loved it. I grew up around many moderate, forward minded egyptians. What happened to so many of you? In spite of you obviously heading towards your own twisted enlightenment, I still think that Islam is an true and just religion.
It's followers should condem such barbaric laws. Was Sharia law spoken by God? I would never follow a God that says judging and killing any living creature is good. And because I am certain that no religion spreads hatred, only HUMANS do, I find your comment somewhat irrelavant and ignorant.
Hamlet don't just get fired up thinking people are getting on your back just because of your religious beliefs or where you come from. This is purely a moral issue. These women are being STONED. Think of the poor child that will lose it's mother.
If you can't get past your own chipped shoulder, I truly feel sorry for you.

Oh of course i forgot stoning people to death was humane and the norm der me!!!! It happens in the middle east mainly yes, but other countries were also mentioned in there human rights atrocitys records - actually china has the worst record for human rights hotly followed by jamiaca. So were not bashing the middle east were bashing any form of human mistreatment, and cheer up Hamlet its been a pretty sunny day today and it will be tomorrow! be glad your not one of these peopple!
Great...... another hot subject to all the fans of clash of civilizations, good effort guys Samuel Huntington will be proud of your efforts to correct our rotten Middle Eastern culture
yeah I know. The sad thing is that it is still allowed to happen. There is no justice in this. It is just backward, ignorant and in my opinion against God. If only the people that condone such a vulgar distortion of religion really saw what they are doing, then this world would not be such an ugly place.
It seems like i've heard this kind of thing before.
Unfair punishment handed out to someone who could not defend themselves because of some archaic, backwards justice system?
Just another day in the Middle East!
Horrid and inhuman! It's unbelievable that things like this are still happening in the third millennium!
i wish people would take more notice of human rights and what goes on in this world. Its so easy to start arguements and thread with each other about silly things - and i bet this one turns this way.
I wish there was something we could do to help people in coutrys likes Sudan, China , Jamacia ,Burma where human rights are non existent. i hope and pray each day that people will see the true and correct way to live there lifes.
There is sadly little justice and decency in this world/
