I saw an Ad on qatarliving
"Good condition apartment only for family located in najma area near to souq haraj.Ready to occupied anytime.Only two studio left both fully furnished but the another one is 4500QR.
Contract will be signed directly with the landlord..."
A perfect ad.. a perfect scenairo..
I called the number and it reached an agent. we met in less than 15 minutes and he drove me to my dream apartment.
The apartment turned out to be a pota cabin on the terrace of a building, the only 2 on the terrace. The drawing and bedroom separated by a curtain. The furniture consisted of 2 sofa chairs, TV, bed and cupboard in a corner. The Kitchen and bathroom just adequate.

..it means, she is kind of bloody pissed off with all this crap with the flats...and i am kind of perfectly understand her..

aahhh.. so it's again, it's not that rents are falling down! it is just they build more miserable and remote places and still offer them for the ridiculous prices… ..Here is another example. My friend lives in some compound in 3BR duplex. She rented it 1 year ago for 13,000. Now, exactly at the same compound, at the same block there is other 3br duplex available, but with the different layout. The rooms are much smaller than her rooms, the furniture is not really high quality..and today it’s offered for 14,000. THAT’S what shows me that the prices are NOT going down. You have to compare the SAME type of the accommodation, and then you will see that the rent is still very high. Another sample, the 2BR FF flat that I rented upon my arrival to Doha (2 years ago) for 7500, then became 8000, then 8500. Today THE SAME flat it’s offered for 9000. That’s what shows me that the prices are NOT going down. You cannot compare some miserable remote hole with the luxurious central apartment and try to prove that prices went down.
I can agree that, as I said, now they build much more these poor holes, and offer them for the lower prices… but again, that’s how much these poor holes are really worth, or even less…

As i stated in some other post... we were looking for 1 BR nice flat for my hub's brother. We finally managed to find one for.. QR9500 (nothing less than that was acceptable).. and guess what, 2 days later, the better (higher) floors are gone! people were FIGHTING for these flats. Again: 1 BR for QR 9,500...
so all those who believes that "rents are falling down".. relax.. there is no any sign of it so far...

and seems this problem is not coming to an end .. i called an agent yesterday .. who spoke very nice about a 2 bedrooms and big hall apartment for 4500 and i said what a deal .. wish i haven't spent 10 minutes of my time seeing that place and 45 minutes in the traffic
OMG .. there is not any decent places in doha for reasonable prices

The appartments i saw today (maybe 9) were all like u explained....

well thats the story of everyone coming to doha and looking for accomodation.remmember if anyone is offering apartment dirt cheap there is alwayz a catch.i have seen much worse.so much for cheap apartments...
The agent said it was a "deluxe" development with all amenities...
Got there.. The building was a shell. the agent showed me around saying, this is where the gym will be, this is wehere the sauna will be, this is where the kitchen will be..etc etc etc
