Sports for women?

Hi, does anyone know of any sports teams (e.g. football, basketball) for women? Ideally also suited to Muslim women in a private gym somewhere so that I can play in sports gear instead of the abaya!
Thanks.

Try Al-Masa Gym, they have a section exclusively for women. You maybe able to network from there.

Thier # is: 4781022 (ask for the ladies section which i think is called Al-Masa Active)

Check with CNA-Q Sontana, I think they have an Ultimate Frisbee team, it's for both men and women, but at least it's a team....Oh and they do offer a women's Rugby team and women's Squash teams...You need to check with the Rugby Club and Aspire.

Re. Aspire, they run fitness classes but I'm a bit more keen on actually playing some sport! Getting so out of shape in Qatar..

Rein, I did consider a treadmill but they take up space and also I find the pressure on knees is not good for me! Really just want something that will be fun and a good way to make friends as well!

Do you understand what sarcasm is Ram. I was referring to your attitude in my post.

@ Olive: Oh my God, call the news, i have just discovered a Hypocrite. u r advising her to go back to the KITCHEN. in which u refused the idea in another Thread.. I thought u r out of the "BOX" already and u r equal with the man .. why do u want a private GYM .. just wear a t-shirt and a short like a man do and go to the GYM..

@ Sontana: i do apologize for hijacking .. In the aspire u will find 3 days (if my memory is still good) for WOMEN only.

Seriously I really don't think there are, if so I've never heard of them. Your best bet is to try Aspire.
