Snake on the beach at Sealine

MattyHardingLower
By MattyHardingLower

My son and father nearly stepped on this today......oh how we laughed and then ran very quickly when we realised it wasnt dead and very angry.

Not sure if it's a sea snake or a land snake, but it was definately a snake........lol

we been there in sealines last summer & what i noticed is there is some small, rounded and tranparent creatures on the seashore...

i dont know if its a jellyfish or what but some people played on it. Is it not dangeous like other jellyfish that causes injuries once they have contacts of humans???

LOL GOOD ONE! In India, "cold weather" is merely a conventional phrase and has come into use through the necessity of having some way to distinguish between weather which will melt a brass door-knob and weather which will only make it mushy.- Mark Twain

RP but I think Mark Twain did not spend time in India during winter or else what he has told about winter in India is not at all correct. he needs to attend ur confession box and confess his lies.

FYI: Tell him to visit north India between December and February and let hin pour come tap water on his Ass in the morning. he would retrieve his previous sentence......

Just a sea snake. The poison of a Sea Snake is ten times more potent than the Cobra or the African mamba.

The problem with the Sea Snake,  their mouth is completely too tiny to inject the poison on a human.

There has being cases of Humans being bitten by sea snakes and no poison was transfer, but at the same token there not aggressive against humans, unless disturb or pest around,  then you are in trouble,  but by nature they are very naive in their own environment.  The females migrate to land to deposit their eggs and this is their season.

Best snake is the one that is far away from you.

You can tell it's a sea snake by it's shape.

The body is shaped a bit like a knife without a flat under belly to help if cut through the water.

Its just I couldnt see through the viewfinder.....its a poor picture I know.  It was a case of point and move backwards.   As Dweller said its head was very small, almost indistinguishable from its tail.  It was about 2.5 feet long and real mardy...

How can it bite you without a head... ?

By dweller• 1 Apr 2008 17:33
dweller

Can't see the head. It should be very small.

They breed Feb to April and will attack anything or anyone during tha period. They breed on land.

Beware when swimming, even the "little" ones will have a go at you.

Never try to push one away with fingers outspread,  it will get you in between the fingers. Use a closed fist, preferably with a glove on and it's head is too small to bite you.
