Smoking on Corniche
Smoking should not be allowed at corniche. Many people go there and bring their family to do a lot of activities, especially for health purposes. Others walk and jog, while others smoke.
SMOKING SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON CORNICHE AND OTHER PLACES WHERE PEOPLE DO THEIR EXERCISES.

buy an island at some remote place and go stay there if you cant stand smoke

i am not defending for smokers ,because i don't and i hate its smell.
but focusing on minor problems is not the solution.
his problem is personal.
he hate to see people smoking which is good but it is also against their freedom since it is in open areas

Well i do have few problems when i see any smokers fagging out...But then i prefer to choose other lane/area...Let them have some freedom..it's not always good to raise the voice..isn't it??

I'm not sure, but I believe in some countries you can have your lips chopped off for smoking in a prohibited area.

Just yesterday I got lost in the desert and was stuck in the middle of nowhere. There was this man who appeared out of nowhere to help me but before helping me get out he lit up a cigarette. I smelled the smoke, Oh the horror!!!!
I am part of the public, I was there so that was a public place at that time. Can we please have a law banning smoking in deserts :(

It is good enough that they dont smoke in Offices and public buildings. Smoking in such a huge open area near to a big sea doesn't harm any body. You have to think of the smoke coming out from the Gas refineries all around Qatar. What do you think the amount of dangerous smoke coming out of it. Should they stop it also????? If they will stop that smoke, none of us will be here in Qatar....
guys who have problem wid smokers in corniche a small quest.. does smokers cum n on puff out on ur face?or dey ask u 2 smoke? if ans is no den pls shut n look at other more imp aspects here rather than worryin abt smokers...

Corniche is an open area... it's not like every section of the corniche is filled with smokers, just move away from them..

corniche is an open area, what should be looked into is the smoking inside the malls especially at the coffee shops, you often see people smoking at these coffee shops with the NO SMOKING signs just above their head, so where are the so-called health inspectors?

It is funny but true, i go for long brisk walk on all days at 4.30 am at the Ground in front of the airport. I used to see a man who comes for exercise and walk but stands and smokes after few rounds of walk . I always used to feel what is he Doing and why take all these efforts if he wants to SMOKE AWAY all the good he is getting with the walk

Wats the problem in smoking at Corniche, after all most of them are using Cigratte filters - so no harm - i think ? :(
To be fair it is outdoors, so have no issues with smokers there. If you don't like smoke, move away from it, the corniche is big enough to accomodate smokers and non smokers.
I wish they can allow drinks on the corniche :)
