Smoke extract system in malls and hotels offices is very important , in building design there should be a Smoke extract system but in Qatar buildings
We cannot see this systems I don’t know how Civil Defense is giving approval for building without smoke extract system.

In Dubai each building there Smoke extract system and Civil Defense will not approve the building without this system.

Pls check the building were you work it as lobby Smoke Extract system or not .

we cannot compromise on fire safety.........

How can you even be joking about this subject? People have lost their lives and others have lost their children and you think it's an opportunity to tell your stupid jokes - have a little bit of sensitivity and a few more brain cells.

precisely the reason why so many building are not operational even they have been finish constructing a year or two ago.

All new and I know some Al Meera stores that were retrofitted with smoke extraction fan. Holiday Villa which was my project had two big extraction fans.

It could help a lot but not a guarantee. It's the whole system of fire protection that should be kept.

And by the way, I think, YOU are joking, Manat. Imagine, you go into the Q-Tel tower, and the first thing you do is check for the fire exhaust system. I guess the security will sooner or later arrest you!

Thank you, Manat, but I avoid fire, except when I start it to BBQ a steak. Otherwise, you are right, never count on the safety of any building in this land.

I see, but when I see that there isn't an exhaust system, what's next? Do I go to the police? (I would be going there possibly all day).

When there is fire in any building or mall people will rush to lobby area to escape though staircase , so that lobby should be free from smoke.

To remove smoke from lobby there should be smoke extract system. Which will consists of fans and ducting .
