A small girl comments on Muslims:

lovedoc
By lovedoc

A 2nd standard girl of Middle East International School, Who’s brain is not yet developed, questions a teacher why are you wearing a headscarf?

The teacher told her “I am a Muslim and I should cover my head”.

The reply she got from the 2nd standard student shocked her. She said "My mom & I hate Muslims, they are not nice people. Please remove it (headscarf)". (That girl is in 2nd standard, what do you think her age would be?).

Don’t you think that this kid has said something which her mom be telling her day and night?

A Principal of Middle East International School, who is working for a Muslim Owner, her expenses are taken care off by a Muslim Salary, teaches her daughter such things. I wonder why?

If she hates Muslims, what is she doing in their country? Why can’t she just leave?

Why do people always discriminate Muslims? Why? How many Muslims do you personally know? Do you think they are what you think they are or they are how the media represents them?

---------------------------------------------------------
It is one of the great ironies of our world today that the very same headscarf revered as a sign of 'holiness' when worn by Catholic Nuns, is reviled as a sign of 'oppression' when worn for the purpose of modesty and protection by Muslim women.

thanks for that bit of info.... I never knew that...

A few years back in my hometown, there was a drive to put the "christ" back into "christmas" .... there was the concensus, that the "x" in xmas was taking the name of christ out of the celebration. Now I see, actually it meant the same thing all along.... Which shows that Gods shepherds(preachers/pastors) don't know everything....;-)

Just moved from one 'zone' to another.

X for Xmas

"the X in Xmas did not originate as our English alphabet's X but as the symbol X in the Greek alphabet, called Chi, with a hard ch. The Greek Chi or X is the first letter in the Greek word Christos....claims that as early as the first century the X was used as Christ's initial. Certainly through church history we can trace this usage. In many manuscripts of the New Testament, X abbreviates Christos (Xristos)"

Surely the mother of the girl must havec had many bad experience with muslim people, from here is the hate. Personally I know many muslim people (how can I not here? :D) and most of them are nice.

But of course on the other hand there are also very bad people between them. Ok, there are bad people from all religion actually. But some muslim (I said some, so who reads it doesn't one of them, please don't take it personally) tend to be very fanatic, which is not common in other religions. For example the suicide bombers.

We no longer have to tell our kids who is the bad guy.....One News Channel say its the Middle-East's fault while the other blames it on the Jews & USA.

The Esteemed News Companies regularly do. Live & with all the gory details. Legs hanging out...skull blown away....baby cut in half....

Not long before such scenes were rated as not fit for children. I just cant believe they are showing this stuff on TV!!!

Mostly such images are shown so as to shock people into thinking emotionally & illogically. It is as if the motto of the News today is to evoke anger & revenge, in both camps.

Naaaa! I am not that teacher (in fact I am not a teacher). I heard this from a friend of mine and wanted to share this with you lots. If a Principal of a school is teaching that to her own daughter, what about the rest of Non-Muslim students?

This buddy of ours Nice Guy knows a lot about Muslims it seems. At least Muslims don’t call you white/black monkeys or abuse you on the roads. Do they? Did it ever happen to you Mr. Nice Guy? Have you ever seen bad things written on walls or elsewhere about any other religion by a Muslim? I have seen a lot of gory stuff about Islam & Muslims on the walls, stations etc.. Please do not tell me it does not happen in west. You know it is a fact, isn’t it? But we now that not all the fingers are the same… are they?

Your impression about Muslims is bad cuz you don’t want to see the right side of it and the way u think or speak about Islam or Muslim, it seems you don’t want to know the fact.

I am a Muslim (Allhumdullilah) and we are also referred as slaves by Middle East version of Brothers & sisters, but all the fingers are not the same as I mentioned earlier?

Hindus are discriminated in every walk of life there. I feel Every Malaysia hindu tells the same words as that little girltold.

Before comming to gulf i really had high regards to islam. But when i lived in gulf some time and saw how the arabs treat other[south asians] nationalities i really dont like islam and muslims. i have a very bad impression about muslims.

I always thought heat played havoc with senses. Cause every summer, everyone seems pissed off and ready to bite someone's head off lol

Anyhow, back to the topic. It takes two to tango. This vicious cycle of hatred is never ending unless we start uniting and putting our differences aside, no matter what someone says about us we shouldn't stoop down to their level and respond.

Now I'm speaking specifically to QL muslim extremists: u say that the West hates us and that we should fight an eye for an eye. But think for a moment, is that what the Prophet(PBUH) want ? would he want us to stoop down to the level of bombing and terrorism just to get our point across? Is this helping the cause of Islam? Wasn't Islam founded on peace ? I think all of these actions go against the fundamentals of Islam.

it is very sad but it works both ways. I saw a video on You tube of a little Egyptian girl who has become famous because she has learned the Quran by heart at the age of 5. The interviewer ( a muslim woman) asks her questions on the video. One of the questions she asks the little girl is "what do you think of Jews"?. The little girl who is wearing a hijab answers that she hates Jews and wished they were all dead. The interviewer then claps her hands and congratulates the child. Talk about brainwashing for hatred at an early age.

Also what about these Sudanese muslims calling for the execution of the British schoolteacher for the improper namimg of a Teddy bear? These people do a huge miservice to muslims everywhere. It is people like these who are making pariahs of muslims because these extremists claim to be speaking for all muslims. What next? Are they going to call for the execution of the 7 year old children who actually named the Teddy Bear Mohammed?

I know many muslims and I work with them. I like them and I respect them and I know that they do not support this nonsense. I wish the vast majority of muslims who are really decent people would condemn this craziness. This would certainly dampen anti-muslim feeling in the west.

Mom_me, don't u dare assume things about me, u don't know who I am. Before talking, go back and see all the posts I've written and all the causes I've fought for and how much I care about this world and its people. So don't call me a "misguided youth" when u have no clue of who I am and how I think and what my views are. But I've had enough of this Islam-Western bashing, it's bad enough all this crap happens around the world, do we have to drag it into QL as well and fight amongst ourselves? it's about time we put our differences aside and united in what we have in common.

Lovedoc, I have read about Quran in English. One of the duties of a pious muslim is to guide the non believers to the right path. (I am a pea brain so forgive me if I have interpreted it wrongly). It is very easy to condition a child's mind. Even if she might not imbibe most of the moral teachings she will ponder over them when she is mature and the teachings will remain with her forever. (Same goes towards guiding the lost youth of today - atleast they are not discussing nail extensions and hair salons. And some know what I am hinting on).
