Signal turns yellow instead of green
By sarim_khalid •
I was at the New Saltha intersection near the Daihatsu Showroom and was heading towards the Muntazah Health Centre. The traffic signal was supposed to turn green. But to my astonishment, it starting flashing yellow, as we see at the roundabouts. The cars were at a halt for sometime before they slowly started moving. Anyone experienced this before?
mostly used in Midnight,,means...if u c clearance ahead just drive,,
The way to love anything is to realize that it might be lost.
In the past old days, around 9 years back, these yellow lights used to flash at most of the intersections of Doha after 12:00 midnight. I've seen this after a long time. I guess the traffic signal was broken or something.
i am not gonna argue.. i am just saying i have never seen such traffic light in my life.. neither here in Doha, nor anywhere else..but frankly, I would agree if someone started arguing... not in Doha...

Why would it mean something different on a junction to a roundabout?
In either case, it's left to the driver to decide whether it's safe to cross the junction/enter the roundabout. Now you could argue that perhaps it's not such a good idea to leave such an important decision to the drivers of Doha.
really tallg?? i have never met one, except of on roundabouts.. and what does it show for all other sides of the intersection at the same time? the same flashing yellow?? or green? :):)

It means proceed if it's safe to do so. It's common on many traffic lights here.
it means "traffic signal got broken and is out of service (like everything else in Doha); call the technician"..

Drive with caution - that's what blinking amber means.
happens in so many places and honestly, its both confusing and surprising at the same time.
