Should women play football ??

britexpat
By britexpat

Just been watching the Orympics..

There's a women's football (Soccer to NAFTA people) match going on..

I can take most sports.. BUT should women play football ?

I mean , its the same as a man wanting to play Netball !

Isn't it ?

Of course women should be allowed to play football. These women practice and train just as hard as the men, why shouldn't they be allowed to compete.

good morning early morning bird.

you are right about "ending up like men"

I think that females should be fully aware of the consequences. I know some ladies who were sent when young to practise ballet dancing and later they discover the horrible muscles that grew in their legs

can try and do whatever a man can, in sport, however, some of the women playing these male dominated sports somehow end up looking like men!!!

I like strong women but feminine :)

My interpretation of kellyheroes statement is: That some balls are dark in color, others prefer with pink or rainbow patterns.

agree. i think soccar should be a men's game. it should be as powerful as man, who can better interpretate it.

problem is that they keep changing its colors. becoming like a fashion. takes time to tell which is which due to the fact that we only use our eyes to identify the true ball :D

oh KH, when you do watch it just keep your eyes focused on the white and black ball..lol...

I think they should play football in the Olypics, why not, its not a matter of competing with men in sports, its a fun game to play and i dont see why it should be based on gender..

Thanks, you're the only one who understands..

I think my questioning was valid.. I am all for equality.. My wife works and we share the workloads as much as we can..

My point was that : Is it neccesary for women to always try and prove they are equal - as in sports..

IMHO Some sports ared better suited to men. Others are better suited to women.

I believe that women playing football does not do justice to females and in no way advances the cause of femininsm.

I would say the same about boxing.

Similarly, men playing netball would not do the cause of gender equality any good either.

On that note, I bid you all goodnight and sweet dreams.

wouldn't say either was played in a way that would be normally regarded as befitting the fairer sex, in fact was bloody rough & agressive!!

I can't think of many sports that women couldn't or shouldn't be involved with, they've even got into Formula One & I'm sure we'll see a Female Champ at some point.

Not sure I'd like to see women box though, would you?

What is up with you Britexpat?

There is nothing wrong at all, with the woman's football league, they have the same right as the boys.

About the "netball" comment , maybe you need to cut a lengthy piece of "net" and wear it to cover that 'NAPPY" HEAD OF YOURS!
