Should Abstinence Only Education Be Allowed?
By hussein.jordan •
Most authorities of sex education agree that abstinence only teaching methods are not part of a successful curriculum. Where do you stand on the issue? (by mdudlik)
so share your thoughts...

child education for a 5 year old child is not about the coitus itself, it can in the form of letting him/her know the difference between a boy and a girl...
honestly, i keep on telling should move first.
im a parent already, funny is i dnt knw what to answer incase that my cute son asks hahahhaha what proper terms to used for him to understand hehehehe
Thank you and Best wishes
Obviously people here actually not Wellinformed about the issue, in fact, sex itself is a rare term for them..
they are left behind in this concept...but in my opinion they have to start now before its too late...

parents should do something first, i mean they should teach their children but the issue is how ? what approach with no malicious thing
Thank you and Best wishes
religious/parochial schools if they (the school community) support such a curriculum.
At public schools I think they have an obligation to teach proper sex education -- and that includes information about both about abstinence and condoms, and prevention of STDs and pregnancy. Families should be able to opt out of having their child sit through those lessons if it goes against their personal religious beliefs.
As far as age goes, schools should always be teaching developmentally appropriate lessons on every subject, and sex ed is not exception. So no one is advocating teaching a 5 year old about condoms. But middle and high schoolers? Sure.

it depends on the child, or lets consider the age thing? isnt it?
Thank you and Best wishes
it will make them more curious! teach them instead the whole concept of the safe sex. It will make them guided and equipped with knowledge...
