Sharia Court

Ok. I am not asking this question in Q&A section, because this section is screwed up. Also a search didn't give me any clear answer, as the info provided there is outdated. So do not direct me to these two above. Thank you.
Question is simple:
Where has Sahria Court moved from Ryyan Rd, where my husband and I got married 4 years ago? Now I want to file a divorce, but the Court has gone... WHERE?

Plus any info with regards to filing divorce by wife is welcomed. I am a christian and my husband is muslim. No common kids thanks God. How easy and fast is it, and what's the procedure? Can it be done in one shot with no headache?
thanks.

On the corniche , going towards Sheraton and CC.

At sheraton roundabout , Turn left heading towards Qatar olympic committe and Ezdan buildings.

After about two hundred meters you will see BMW and Al-Fardan Tower.

Just before that turn right.

Take First right and follow the road round to Shariah Court on the Left.

Its quite easy ..

Good Luck!

LP,i guess, sharia court is a "civil" court over here. Islamic way of marriage is the other way around. If your marriage is concluded in this court only, according to the islamic law it's not a marriage yet. You are legally married only after huge public open wedding party.

thank you shahzad. do they have by the chance any english-speaking dudes over there? Or it will be like a marriage, when I was sitting and wishing I would understand a word.. When I told I wouldn't mind to understand what I am signing, they brought a "translator" who knew 5 English words more than the judge did. Yeah, it helped a lot.

anyway, will try to figure out tomorrow.

tahnks!

Well, in my country a church marriage doesn't count as legal. Sorry, but I only wanted to give you a tip.

I need a divorce here, not in my country. It doesn't matter if it's legal in my country. I cannot re-marry again anywhere in the world as I am married here, and he can claim his rights any time.

All i want to know is where is the new Sharia Court. NO one knows??

Check with your embassy if the marriage is legal in your country. Maybe you don't need a divorce at all.
