Sending Stuff Home

Does anyone know what is the best/safest/economical way to send stuff back home (Adelaide, Australia for me!)? Unaccompanied baggage, air cargo, by Sea, post, etc, etc? I don't have too much, about 40-50kgs max and obviously don't want to lose my stuff en route home. Please provide any suggestions if you have any. Most of the stuff on this site has to do with bringing stuff into Qatar but how about taking the goods back out?

Cheers

I am using the above company to send my stuff from KL (Malaysia) to Doha (Qatar) and they are supposed to be pick my boxes tonight (30-45 kg). It is the cheapest i could find and the fastest at the same time as it's gonna take them a couple of days to deliver my stuff to Doha (Air Freight). They said the charge will be USD 6.5 per kg and can go less than that depending on the total weight.

I cannot judge their services yet but they are part of Emirates Airlines and that should be a good sign!:) Anyway, will keep you updated.

You can contact the local office for Emirates Airlines for their number in Doha so you can call them and get the exact rate for yr destination. They offered me a pick-up service but not sure if they do have there. I guess that door-to-door service is also available at some countries, but u better check about that.

Hope the above gonne help!

Try jetta.com.au

I heard the company in Perth really helpful.

$6.40/kg, plus a one off charge of $85 for tax, security and insurance. A friend used it and

it worked out at $188 compared to DHL who quoted $922!!. It might be worth considering. I believe they have offices in most capital cities in Australia.
