Ladies and gents

What a bleeding nightmare! I have been struggling to put my two kids (ages 8 & 9) into a decent school. We are brit nationals and have been told to wait and wait then wait some more. I may have to send the kids back to London as their schooling is suffering..

Do you need connections to get things done here? Any advice ?

It may be dump but atleast teachers are not bad and it is good till you can get a place in a better one. In any case, I consider all schools here equal apart from Doha college, American school, Park house and Qatar Academy. Rest all are same.

You're right, the school waiting lists are ridiculously long. You could either try to enlist the help of the British Embassy or someone on the board of governors of the school you're interested in.

Not much help, I know, but at least get the children on the waiting list and keep nagging.
