I am posting this forum to get the views of members in the transport issues facing by students/parents.My kids school authorities stated that the kid who is picked first will be dropped last. They also said that this is the normal practice in all schools.I just want to know whether this is true.

tbruise, I think you had some argument with the driver previously.

Now you have to meet the drivers' In charge and ask the normal buses routine then you talk about your child, he'll manage him in some different bus of the same route or there are a number of private vans available you can hire one.

SamanthaJean, Usually school buses have several routes. If the bus goes to Matar, it picks all the students of Matar and if it belongs to Al Hilal all of al Hilal or near by. So the route can be easily managed by the driver.

In rare cases if anyone stays very off route or very closed to school, then it is acceptable for one stop only.

I heard many students of the same school complaining that they are not being dropped first even though they are near to school. They pick last and drop last. Then why this is not happening in my case. They pick first and drop last.I believe this is just partiality.

Obviously the last to be picked up will live closer to the school so will be dropped off first.

you want the pick up first and drop off first? but before that, i just want to give you an example how the pick up first and drop off first, if that is the case.

example: PICK FIRST, DROP FIRST.

let's say the school is located in abu hamour. you live in al hilal, other kids live in matar qadeem,

al mansoura, munthaza, bin mahmoud, bin omran, al sadd and madinat khalifa. DO YOU WANT YOUR KID TO PICK UP FIRST IN AL HILAL THEN THE SCHOOL BUS TOGETHER WITH YOUR KID WILL PICK UP THE KID IN MATAR QADEEM,THEN AL MANSOURA, THEN MUNTHAZA,THEN BIN MAHMOUD,THEN BIN OMRAN, THEN AL SADD THEN MADINAT KHALIFA THE BACK TO SCHOOL.if you choose this one, definitely your kid will be the one to pick first and drop first.

or the PICK LAST, DROP FIRST.

The bus will pick up first the kid in madinat khalifa, then kid in bin omran, then kid in al sadd, then kid in bin mahmoud, then kid in munthaza, then kid in mansoura, then kid in matar qadeem then your kid in al hilal then school.if you choose this one, you kid will pick up last but drop first.

that is the only 2 choices to choose from and that is normal in all school. if you really want your kid to pick first then drop first, the best thing you can do is to hire a private school service.

Surely they are all dropped off at the same time as they go to the same school?

Or do you mean first to be picked up in morning and then last to be dropped off on the way home?

If so this makes sense for 2 reasons:

1) Obviously the last to be picked up will live closer to the school so will be dropped off first.

2) The route will remain the same, so it is safer for the kids as the driver is more familiar with the traffic situation.....and....this ensures that it is less likely that a child will be left on the bus by mistake.

yes,its true. those who are picked up first will be left back early & vice-versa, it happens the same way with my child too...
