According to the MOI, 13 children, 4 teachers and 2 civil defense workers lost their lives in the fire at Villaggio today. This is a sad day in Qatar history and we stand together to mourn.

inshallah in a few days or weeks. Fire is one of the hardest thing to investigate. Let us wait and don't speculate wildly.

UK, they chopped a hole into the roof to get the kids out. there was no fire exit. apparently.
Mandi may be what you are suggesting is correct but it against fire safety rules to have fire exit in the roof. The smoke kills first and always rises :(

We Muslims believe that death by fires is among the forms of deaths which lead to martyrdom , hence Insha Allah those little ones are now in a far better place than us all.
My heart aches for their parents..Only God alone can give them the strength to deal with what is truly the worst tribulation any parent can ever experience.
UKEng, my unofficial sources say that the casualties were from Gympanzee. Evidently the only way out of the kindergarten was through a hole chopped in the roof.

fire started in the nursery itself!!! no wonder most of the casualties are from the nursery itself.

There are reports coming that a Nursery/School was on a field trip in the amusement area? that might explain the teachers involved or are these kids from the Nursery Gympanzee..
