Restaurants, Restaurants, and Restaurants
Just went to a flurry of restaurants this week...didn't feel like cooking and decided to write a quick blurb about each one. I have longer more detailed descriptions on each restaurant in the review section.
Would encourage everyone to continue to contribute their restaurant reviews in the review section, really helps to pick out a good restaurant :)
Mahara’s
This restaurant can be a hit or miss.
I had the Dill salmon with cream sauce = awesome.
My husband had their shrimp and sauce dish = awful.
The salad bar was definitely worth the value, large selection and quite good.
Shezan:
Great price and surprisingly great food.
Thai Chi
Lovely food, drinks, service, and ambiance. Now a new favorite.
Shatter Abbas
Be forewarned that this can be greasy food, but still good. Try their curries, really good and very unique.
Asha’s
Really nice place to sit and relax. Entrees were a little mediocre unfortunately. Their appetizers are delicious though. For the price, I was expecting better food.
Oh thanks a lot snessy for the invitation...sure nothing can beat the home food...:)

Thanks phoenix, definitely next on my list.
We had really great Indian restaurants back home, but here they are not the same.
yeah hopscotch and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality, just in case you or your husband are steak lovers, i'm sure you'll admire the way the choices are presented. good place for kids too, at least mine liked it :)
Yalla!
phoenix that sounds way too good!
happy, you should come to mine for dinner then, restaurant food isn't the same as good old home cooked north indian food ;-)

from the malbari hotel at al bandar..it tastes so good..
I don't like the drugs, but the drugs like me. :D
for a great pepper steak(or any flavor) i prefer the butcher's house at villagio, try also their starter shrimp in sour cream with the lovely golden roasted crumbs on top OMG yummmyyyyyyyyy
Yalla!
Biella....I only know 'Bella'... someone on this thread has nice feelings towards that name...:)
Many good restaurants around, but I am longing for one restaurant which can cook some real authentic north indian food....:)

Everyone goes on about the tea at the corniche, I guess it's a must try.
Love the fast food at small Malabari resturants....Parotha, Dosa, masala Dosa,....Lunch is good too ....
But the best is their Tea....it really has unique taste....I guess because they use Condensed Milk for the tea.
There is a similar version at the Corniche near the Sheraton (end) Park.....but with Burger & Sandwiches.....
the malabari restaurant which can be found every where..y dont u try there and share your experience with us here.. :P
I don't like the drugs, but the drugs like me. :D
Oh I forgot to mention Biella...also went there after a looooong time... they have a NEW menu, so it's worth everyone trying it out. Their food is still good, but my favorites were on their old menu, (tear).
lol, I know Rizks, just trying to get a buzz about the restaurants, most of the reviews are a little dated, so thought I would bring attention to the restaurant review section...as it was what I used to pick my restaurants.
Hope that's okay :)
I think we have an option here in QL - "Latest Restaurants" were we can post the resturants names and dishes....??
Also went to Krispy Kreme, the kids were very pleased with the new "snowman" doughnut :)
