The title of the thread is "respect the law". Even here in QL, respect the guidelines. You trying to imply that I agree with what happened totally. The issue is respecting the law but calling it "satanic" is respecting it?

When did I say, I agree with it totally? Don't break it and nothing of this kind will happen! Right?

Flor,

its not only me or Pilgram, its many other telling you the same.

Take this post as an example. The torture is certainly not supported by you (being of christain education) and instead of expressing what you think, you attack those who express their views against it, in the name of pleasing others who you perceive as your bread-feeders!

It sure gives hints a weak if not coward personality!

And you keep judging people. Is that a career of yours? I just want civil discussion and no badmouthing. But of course, some people here were raised in certain manners that sometimes, I would like to think that's the alphabet they learned back home!

no need to display hints of inferiority complex. no one here is representing any country.

Yes Flor I sincerely believe you'd follow any law put in front of you. You seem completely incapable of doing anything but parroting what others have told you to be right. You're lack of free will and ability to question the establishment critically is so glaring that I'm beginning to wonder if you aren't some hack from the Qatari government constantly spitting out propaganda following the policy line. Seriously, I think George W. Bush is more capable of thinking outside the box.

Hell, I don't think the Emir is even as blindly supportive of Qatar and its laws as you are!

it seems you and your country had the monopoly of "good" and "justice" that every man should wish for. You even imply that you are living with people who has "satanic" laws? Unless you are not here in the ME!

Your view is not only critical, it borders to being offensive! Are you really that good? Does Canada really a "heaven" on earth? Because if Saudi have "satanic" laws, then it must be the place called "hell"? So you think all those people living and working there are in "hell"? I find your view not critical, but very offensive!

Nic, Flor strikes me as the kind of guy that if Qatar suddenly passed a law that said all men over the age of say 25 had to have their balls cut off, he'd be the first in line.

That's your view. And how do you find execution by any means (electric chair, hanging, firing squad, lethal injection)?

To each his own. Have you have the inkling of running for public office? Or just imagining yourself as a judge? You think every one will agree with you all the way? So choose your word, you'll never know when will you be on the other side!

Flor12 dont twist my words I said I know a lot of flipinas here in such situation. I never said I am doing anything to them! Even if your kabyans are doing with others..:)

Look lets not move away from the topic. Again the question is why are the muslims being punished and other nationals getting away that number 1.

Secondly why are certain people who live behind high walled compound exempted from these laws and only the maids and the poor section of the society who are being made an example for the others.

I came across one Jordan chap lately who had three QA stewardess as GF. He was so clever or stupid which ever one you want to use that he knew which flights his GF were on and so he never got caught by the other gf nor the authorities.

By Nic• 25 Nov 2010 10:56
Nic

flor,

Punishment practices that were common in the VII century are no longer seen as appropriate for humans, often labeled as barbaric and are mostly extinct in the XXI century, in societies that had a positive evolution in terms of civilizational behavior, since the middle ages. The law and society in question, is clearly an exception and has not followed the rest of the word's civilizational path!

I am not denying the existence of the rules nor the punishment described in the OP. All I am saying is that they are barbaric and satanic!

Flor12 I got it from a lot of pinoy girls that I have and come accros both on Ql and outside of QL. Maybe the ones I met might be just a minority in Phils but here are the majority of the ones I have come across her!

As the law of the GCC goes, it is simple mixing of opposite in public places is against the law and sex outside of wedlock is a criminal offense. But I guess like Brit said above here there is a law for the rich and one for the poor. It is the poor ones that we hear about being caught.

Guess the rules should be that if yer poor dont have sex here!

Funny how Michelle Palmer has a bottle of wine in the picture and seems like ready for some action. Lucky she was caught on a Dubai beach and not Sharjah..:)

Well I think it is the maid and drivers that get caught mostly in GCC countries. The locals and certain foreigners can get away with having illicit relationships without the authorities troubling them. If they really wanted to nab the real culprits. All they need is to hang out near the Qube on a Thurday night ..:)

Ps: Hey...Michelle Palmer! long time no see..still playing the victim, huh?funny how her whole story is not revealed!
