britexpat

You silly billy.. I meant all the ex subjects of Her Majesty Queen Victoria and those employed by the East India Company and of course ALL those QLers who hail from the country which produced the likes of Ashwaria Rai, Asin, Tinkerbell and Piyanka Gandhi :O)

By GodFather.• 26 Jan 2012 14:24

By GodFather.• 26 Jan 2012 13:05
GodFather.

Republic Day is for the Countries that are Republic's, not Monarchy's like the GCC countries or Britain or other countries that have Monarchy's in place. :)

now come again..:)

By GodFather.• 26 Jan 2012 13:01
GodFather.

Google is Wrong..Tinker..when did you arrive in Qatar again?

By GodFather.• 26 Jan 2012 12:57
GodFather.

Tinker.. Now I am confused...

Qatar used to celebrate Independence Day on 3rd of September before they started celebrating National day on the 18th December. Two different days..:)

By GodFather.• 26 Jan 2012 12:45
GodFather.

So basically India does not have a National Day then!.. instead it has a Republic Day and Independence day..

OK..

By Rizks• 26 Jan 2012 12:26

Translation of The national anthem- Jana Gana Mana In English

Thou are the ruler of the minds of all people, dispenser of India's destiny.

The name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sind, Gujurat and Maratha. Of the Dravid and Orissa and Bengal.

It Echoes in the hills of Vindhyas and Himalayas, mingles in the music of Yamuna and Ganga and is chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea.

They pray for your blessing and sing thy praise. The salvation of all peaople is thy hand, thou dispenser of India's destiny. Victory, Victory, Victory to thee.

Dear all, let us not write or do something against the laws of Ql which may lead t deleteion of this thread which personally I think would be an insult to India and Indians though I could see somewhere an Indian frowning at this thread not been deleted... just dont understand why are we so obsessed with the language part while on one side we talk this place is for fun and make friends with and then dont allow even a bit of leverage to someone to talk to their friends or crack a joke for a while in their language or are people that nosy or jobless who want to know everythig that is talked here... I sure am missing a large part of the understanding of the people of this site.
