A Reason, A Season, or A Lifetime

A Reason, A Season, or A Lifetime

Good morning, I would like to share this very beautiful poem that is so meaningful and will apply to most of us! Happy Reading! :)

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life,
whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

It's not at all easy....... to walk away from someone you love, leave them drowning in pain and desertion.......the scars don't diminish too soon........

Nice piece Gera....very poignant TFS.

Very meaningful piece, Thanks for sharing, Well the fact is that we don't have any control over the people/ situation. If they want to leave we have no power to hold them back. All we can do is accept, let go, heal and aspire to be a better person.

Very meaningful poem. However, from the technical point of view, most of the English poem I've read or heard are similar to what the less talented Arab poets use to call "Modern Poem" as a way out of not being able to write proper poem. It comes with much less verse structure, rhyming and rhythm that should be producing the music may be even without knowing the meanings.

While you still have the person, cherish every moment you have with them. Love like there's no tomorrow. Do everything, be happy and don't ask for anything in return so in the end you'll have no regrets.

Gera, I wish to share a social trend in India. A family member { actually a daughter } stands up against the

parents just on her 18th birthday by forgetting all the favours by disappearing from the home with ' a stranger '

{ an opportunist } .

That is an evil ....................

A very touching and true to life poem. Human relationships, no matter how intense and meaningful they may seem at a time, are ultimately prone to change and even perishable much like human beings. Best to live life as it comes and never assume anything or anyone on earth is our's forever!

But if you relate this one to relationships and love, I bet everyone will agree with the poem. Everyone can relate. Most especially with your past relationships, the painful ones. lol.

I agree. In general, people walk away from something or from someone, may it be a good or bad reason.

There is a huge group of those who just walk away { '' Sometimes they walk away. '' } after their target is achieved .................. but it's so difficult to pin point them in time ...................

clairvoyant means ..... a person who says they have powers to see the future or see things that other people cannot see .........
