RE-EXPORT OF USED CARS and Vehicles need govt. support

Qatar's used car market is one of the oldest in the country and is witnessing increasing number of cars for sale, because a vast majority of people have a tendency to replace their older cars with newer models.
On the other side, this influx of used cars is polluting every nook and corner of the country which needs a sustainable solution, one of which is to allow export of such cars to other countries on subsidies costs and govt incentives, that could also generate good chunk of export revenues for the country.
Both ... old & new have their own ever hungry market ........... Re-export cars market is huge ......... huge .......... Ask anybody who have visited Dubai or Sharjah once ............. We wil see re-export of used cars rising year on year ..............
Man...I commented not because of any enemity with Brit...but because out of the twelve cars that I own atleast 8 is more than 10 years old. Someone start thinking about his suggestion and change the rule, then I will left on the street. Thanks

If we bring in a worker at 25 & send her / him back after say 25 years of work ....... then why can't we bring in & export a used car ........ ? ........ Let the buyers decide to sell it or remelt it.
I fully support Equi ............ One needs to look at our neighbours{ Dubai } ...... and learn.

Khan: Your comments on Britexpat was totally unwelcome and had nothing to do with the subject. As a QLer I respect the gentleman for his broad knowledge and wide outlook of life although I have never met him so far.
The cost of transporting such cars say to third world countries are so high that the effort is not worth it. Also, several countries in the East have a right-hand drive system while Qatar has the opposite. As such cars from Qatar will not be welcomed there.
Some people such as britexpat should be scrapped instead.
Qatar does not need to do this. Why should it "subsidise" others to help them make a profit. Also, older cars are pollutents, so why send them to another country ?
The best option is to have a limit on the age of the car. Anything older than 10 years (unless deemed a classic) must be scrapped.
