I worked on a ground investigation for the re-development of the Qatar National Museum on the corniche in 2003. it included an ambitious plan for a tunnel out to sea and an aquarium in the bay.

does anyone have any news on the progress of the project?

UPDA... Urban Planning and Development Authority... sorry for the acronym, name is self explanatory I guess... and since you don't know about them, what you think about them would be a very short discussion wouldn't it?

haha and i thought the UK planning system was protracted! yeah i knew it was part of the larger re-development plans i just stupidly thought that there might have been some progress in 5 years!!

i bet it wont take that long for them to build the high rise towers i'll be working on when they are for commercial use!!! lol

It's part of the same project that is building the library next to the post office (the abandoned building site), and the orientalist musuem, and the photography museum, and the history of education museum, and the weaponary museum, and the textiles musuem...

Patience, my friend.
