Being a sports car maniac myself it's hard to answer this one.

What do you think? And why?

There are pros and cons. Grand Vitara may be great and all but the re-sale value isnt much as compared to Toyota Rav4 after a few years, and still depends if its a 2 or 4 door type.

Cheers!

I have a 2007 Forrester. It's excellent. Only downside is a/c very basic and passengers in the back get hot. Very fast, good for overtaking.

hey...

i think its better if you dont buy any of those two....

The Pajero (2 door) has amazing off road capabilities... it handled smooth up and down the dunes.. even sliding.

Another is the Nissan X-terra, although its a little boring on the inside...

there are a lot more... if u know your price range.. i can help you out. I am vehicle crazed.!!!

happy hunting...happy easter all...

Outlander...i really don't like that car.

CRV-good one, but spare parts are crazy overpriced in here.

Pajero is a nice one, i like the 2 door version, i don't don't like the sliding effect too much in those cars.

Grand Vitara is by far better:

1. Better engine performance

2. Real 4x4. Rav4 is AWD and not 4WD

3. Cheaper

4. Sexier inside. Better equipment and accessories

5. cheaper

6. better service

7. Almost same depreciation and trade-in value

what car do you have now! In my opinion, RAV4 has a better resale value, easy maintainance, has more  engine power than Vitara..I cannot comment on driving comfort as i havn't tested them.

Just compare specs of both cars. Don't forget that before 2-3 years Toyota bought Suzuki I think.

irrysa, these cars are designed for capturing that segment of the market that don't know about cars a lot, people who just want a bigger car for less money, they are not dedicated 4X4s nor they are luxury cars. its a simple family vehicle with some offroad capabilities.yes the engine is underpowered cause that helps to reduce the price. but not bad cars at all if you look it economically.

By irrysa• 23 Mar 2008 08:10
irrysa

yeah, but isn't the engine a bit too small for such car?

I think Rav 4 is better since it's Toyota's (less complaints)

Afaque, what does it say in the post? i said i am a sport car fan, not suv's and 4x4 that's why it's not easy to compare for me...
