Racist or sexist people here...

It all began on Thursday: at 6:15 PM, I was driving by the sports round about and a green camry almost drove into my car, I flas hed and honked but seems like the person who was driving was deaf and blind, I moved into the fast lane and then i overtook the car (which was a big mistake I guess), the next thing i see is there was a local lady, and she gave me this sign "I'll show u" with her fist. I ignored her action and went on.

Yesterday morning the cops called my dad (since the car is under his name) and they asked him to go to the traffic department. So i went along, I kind knew what it was all about and when I got there, they took my lisence and made us wait for 2 hours. The cop didnt say any thing, he just said my fathers name and asked him who was driving the car and took his id aswell. After waiting for 2 hours, the lady showed up and they asked us to go to the (head of the police)'s room, when we went in, the cop guy strated his lecture, "what if there were kids in the car, this that blah blah blah..." i'm like dude give me a min. listen to what I have to say, but he goes no u dont have the right to say and went on and on... at the end the lady was like let him go... i ignored everything, since he didnt let me speak and at the end he gave me a lecture about how my dad has been here for soo many years and his reputation and all... and then they just let me go with a last warning... what can i say, its their country they can do whatever the hell they want and get away with it...

Just wanted to tell u guys to be careful, cuz they dont care about the expats in this country, if u complain no one cares, if they complain u go to jail...

Oh and by the way I said I had a little respect for u, I didnt say "I dont respect u". No one gains respect, but it sure can lost.

@thexonic, what does 'it's their country they can do what they want with it mean'

Don't be like all the others and end up acting racist yourself.

The SAME thing happened to a friend of my fathers. A Qatari woman cut him off, he made the hand gesture "slow down". Next day he's at the police station because that woman said he stuck his middle finger out at her.

So it happens to LOCALS too.

I dont think respect is earned, lol... that didnt even sound right coming from a person who did soo much research and became a muslim... The first thing that Islam teaches, is giving respect, thats what Prophet Muhammad (saws) did... even to those who were against him.... now logically speaking, they didnt earn the Prophet (saws)'s respect... no one earns respect for being a jerk...

There are 03 types of ppl here ..

1) Qatari

2) arabic speaking

3) non-non( neither of the other two ..)

Cant coment on the other two or i will be writing a passage on my trip to the cop station like Thexonic,

but if you are a non-non,  Even if you standing on the pavement and a landcruiser hits you (driven by (1) or (2) ) ..its your damn fault !!!

Cheers mate

... here's this poor Qatari woman, driving down the road as she normally does, and using whatever part of it she feels like using as it is, after all, her road, when she is overtaken by someone in a car who is obviously not Qatari and therefore beneath contempt, who has the audacity to honk at her. Now let's consider ...... this woman more than likely has no job, no outlet for any creative dreams that may have spirited across her consciousness as a young (pre-Abaya) girl, and the biggest thing she has to worry about now is how many maids to take shopping with her (will she have two bags of shopping or four?), and whether or not the latest gaudy jewellery plonked on her diabetic hand (too much chocolate - eaten through sheer boredom) has more diamonds on it than her friend's. She has a husband who only has sex with her in order to produce more spoiled, inconsiderate, rude, uncultured brats (and whom she assumes, probably correctly, has at least one girlfriend of a different race, culture, disposition and, dare I say, is more than likely in possession of a much more attractive figure than hers), and her contemporaries lead exactly the same life as her.

Wouldn't you use any excuse to brighten up your day, even if it involved a trip to the police station?

And if anyone has taken offence at what I have written, then I am truly and humbly apologetic. No really, I am. Honest. Scout's honour?

I actually got helped out big time by federales once with a flat tyre...didn't ask for anything.

I have only paid one bribe and that was 2US

I certainly don't share your experience.

I didn't not misunderstand you I knew where talking about law enforcement officers.

Sorry you had those unfortunate experiences.

u misuderstood me. I meant the mexican COPS, fedaralies to be exact.  And no I have never meet a decent fedralie, sure they are out there but everyone has asked for $ and one even stole (confinscated my surfboard) I am part mexican myself and LOVE the people and culture but the cops are corrupt, u cant deny that!  In the same way im not aginst arabs or qataris I just dont care for the legal method.

it’s the worst thing to get in trouble with the Local Lady.. if it’s the local guy you can solve the problem somehow.. but with the lady?? Never, forget about it…
