Qtel reception signal drop
hi everyone.. did anyone notice the difference in qtel's reception signal quality for mobiles(gsm) & specially broadband (gsm)?
i am sick n tired of getting these missed call messages and the broadband i have takes at-least 30 secs to open a page.
I'm noticed this recently ,, it wasn't like this 1 year back. am i the only 1..?
lemme get a connection on my mobile then i'll let you know :) ...hehehe
seriously....we are all aware how strange the market here in Qatar. Customer have so less choice, what do to yanni?
Oligopoly and monopoly!
i cant say much or ill start moaning...not good :(
cheers
they have shared service with vodafone, that might be the cause!! they wont dare about costumers heck! all they need big money!!
i'm getting both mobile and broadband drop outs constantly. i'm on wireless boradband and it drops out at least 5 times every hour!!!
my mobile (samsung) drops out also when i'm speaking to someone but the phone always shows full signal! this happens about 3 or 4 times before i can finally get a good line.... aarrgggghhhhh
Who are you with Vodafone or Qtel Expat Sueño?
I've had a LOT of trouble with dropped calls and "no signal" for about four months now. I'm on a 3GS iPhone. Anyone else?
Hang on a moment... I am with Vodafone ;)
Mobile broadband continuously disconnecting at the moment. It is hard to keep it alive long enough to be of any use.
Is it a problem with the phone or Qtel itself.
Problems have been faced more with iphones than other brands
"it's how close to a mast you are that determines how good the strength is"
that's exactly the lamest excuse that even i get to hear.
shame on their services & customer service.
WE NEED ONE NEW COMPANY IN QATAR ONLY TP PROVIDE INTERNET
BECAUSE QTEL AND VODAFONE BOTH ARE LOOKING MORE ON EARNING THAN THEIR SERVICES, SO THEY WANT TO GET MORE CUSTOMER WITHOUT ESTABLISHING EXTRA TOWER TO SUPPORT THAT. AS A RESULT THE SPEED IS BECOMING DECREASING..
..as i have insinuated in another thread, a DSL connection always works better than broadband..but this thread painted a hopeless scenario for mobiles..
..would there be an alternative..?..
I'm so glad someone else has mentioned this! We use..well, try to use...the USB mobile broadband. The internet connection is shocking...as in there is no connection! We just get time-out messages all the time.
The best thing about it is that when we complain to Qtel we are fed the same old rubbish about "it's how close to a mast you are that determines how good the strenght is". We live right next to a mast!! They go very quite at this point and do not have any more answers for us.
For anyone who is even thinking about going down the USB Mobile Broadband route...NOOOOOO, dont do it! I struggle at least 3-4 times a week to even open up google.com, let alone my emails. As for Skype...no chance. I would recommend that you pay the extra and just go for ADSL.
it was actually so much stronger before..
the service is getting poor and irritating.. damn..
Even me facing such problems , especially when i call someone or someone calls me .. always out of service
Strange coz service before was better .
:)
