qtel policy is to hire idiots only...

Terrible customer service, most of the idiots working there don't know what they are talking about, even if you are simply asking for a bloody phone number they find a way to mess it up. Does anyone else suspect it it may in fact be Qtel policy to only hire idiots?

How do I find out what my Qtel (Ooredoo) bill is if the idiots have cut me off and haven't bothered to send me an account? MORONS!!!

all.  Use majority if that's your intention. My actual dealing with them is only internet at home which is ok.  My post-paid plan on cel which is also ok.  My USB broadband which is also ok so far (more than a year).  But I agree with many that their pricing is quite high!

I laugh at those who because they know a person or two working there  think my original post has lost credibility or I have to pretend their service is anything but terrible. This isn't one or two experiences, this is the MAJORITY of my dealings with this company, which you can imagine is quite extensive seeing that they are providers of every service that the modern home needs.

of Q-Tel should act as a 'mystery' shopper and try and get any sense out of his organisation. The service is an absolute disgrace.

The experience of the OP does not mean that all are like the one he talked to.  I resent this generalization as  we have a dear Qler here who is employed by Qtel! So better watch out for your words, OP!

Oh and the router is called Belkin share n300, it costs 449 in Lulu, some really amazing features, it has a usb port too so if you wanna have a sharing hard drive for example, u can just connect it to the router. http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=509881

I got it from Lulu well cuz its near my house but its available everywhere. The only thing is Moziac tv wont work on it. So if u want to watch moziac you'll have to stick with Qtel router.

lol, over a period of 1 month and half 9 technicians from qtel came to fix my dumb moziac internet, no one was successful. In the end I got a router that actually works and used it instead of the scrub qtel gave me, I haven't had any issues since then and what the hell is up with the connection speed over here. In Dubai Du telecom is providing 24 Mbps connection for 250 riyals and over here im paying 400 for 4 Mbps what kind of dumb load of crap is this I dont get it. When will the system here be more civilized I wonder. Oh lets not forget the stupid black berry service they provide 150 riyals for activation, and another 150 for the usage what the hell is up with that? ridiculously over priced and their network isn't even all that great!

Playing in a monopolistic market for long have made them easy going. I am particularly unhappy about their response to customer complaints. They pretty well know that the recently purchased lot of the internet/TV rotors from China, at a low price, is defective, still they don't ever replace them with the good one. I might have complained some 5 to 6 times to change the stuff but everytime they send the technician home to do a patch-up job. The problem still continues.

...well actually in the past whenever I had problem or enquiry and I called 111 there were arabic ladies who gave me different answers for the same question. But this week to my surprise, an asian gentleman solved a problem and even told me the reason behind it.  So thanks QTEL!

Please don't brand the entire people of a whole organization because you had one or two bad experience.  There are so many professional and good people in Q-Tel (In fact majority). But unfortunately, the customer thinks the other way because of the treatment they get.

be grayefull, if everything would be perfect most would not have a job here

By nomerci• 7 Aug 2011 17:00

Oh no, not wasta. You just need to know the right person for the job. Or one of those people who know what they are doing.

By FatherTed• 7 Aug 2011 16:56

you even need wasta for something as simple as getting a phone number or turning on a service? In case those fools didn't know it is in their interest to switch on a service for me because they will get paid for it, oh that's right, those thieves will charge me for it anyway and not provide the service.

As with pretty much everything in qatar, you need to know the right people to get things fixed.
