QTEL Internet Problem?

Does anyone having problems with the internet connection since yesterday?
I called QTEL yesterday afternoon to check and inform them about my connection. I asked them if there is problem with the internet in doha. They replied as nothing is happening or they don't have a clue. They said it's my frequency and it's on QTEL's side.
I left the office at 4pm and came back an hour past and the internet is disconnected.
This morning, it was disconnected again for 5 minutes. According to my colleagues, they had this problem too around 2am this morning until they left the house.
QTEL is probably having problems with some of the Telephone Number Prefixes in Doha and they just want to deny it always.
My USB Modem had connection interruptions yesterday and I reconnect it four times..
Hope the upgrades will do good to the connection, so that I can play my RPG char again. *fingerscrossed*

Good thing that I did not buy the new one then, thought it would save me the trouble but still ... happy with what I'm having now ... Most of the time outside the house, when i get in ... I'm already fed up with computers ...

I guess you are using the old blue linksys with one antenna, you need to upgrade the firmware of that one.
After I did that, it did that only once or twice for the last 6 months. The problem before was switching between the PPOE and PPOA protocols from Q-Tel. So every time they change it, you gotta change the settings from your router as well.
I prefer 3Com, but what to do ... when i got the money to buy it, there were no more in stuck. When it's back, the price get changed from 240 to 350 somehow !!!

I read the same thing tallg read, they were doing upgrades to the system the whole month of April and would have service interruptions and slow service off and on for the whole month. Qtel...gotta love 'em

yes chevy, linksys router is a bit problem... our subscription here in the office is 1GB but we encountered on and off signal...
at home (512MB), we use Belkins router but never experience the fluctuating signal.

case in my home yesterday morning and my brothers were calling ... is it because of the Aluminum foil you put behind the Linksys? :) I told them no ... it's Q-Tel for sure ...
Don't ask me why did I put that piece of foil behind my linksys, it's obvious that it expands the range and strengthen the wireless signal :)

the connection is on and off.....
That's why we used hub at cables instead :D...presto!

is ok ... my friends got no internet for 2 weeks after moving to a brand new building ... Reason? The landlord never asked for the telephone lines and ... there you go .. they need to dig for those first .. hmmpphhh

bro if you are using a router try disconnect it and use the supplied modem (speedtouch) by Qtel. if still no connection then its with QTEL, i have experience this last week i thought Qtel is the problem but when i connect the modem it works again. . then i connect back to the router. voila . . it works fine now.

Mine are not working from yesterday morning until late at night, but luckily this morning the connection are back to normal
so slow i cannot play online games. =(

I am staying in Wakra and have ADSL. From last few days I am also getting problem.
just recently moved in to a new flat and the landlord said it may take 3-4 days more before we get internet connection.. :(
They recently announced they would be making upgrades throughout April and it may have some effect on connection quality.
