QTEL customer service - this has happened several times to me
Hey Guys,
Try and put yourself in this situation.
There is a sudden disconnection in one of the telephone lines in my office
My boss asks me to check with QTEL for any technical problems in our area as all the bills have been paid promptly
I dial 111, pick my selection from the long options of 1's and 2's
Finally i find my line on hold
A sweet voice on the other end tells me how important iam as a customer,
Time is ticking, minutes and minutes went by
Wow i have been on hold for the last 30 minutes now
The sweet voice keeps reminding me again iam a valued customer
NOW COMES THE MASTER PIECE

minutes of waiting ..... how glad (sarcasm...) do you think iam to hear
QTEL's new service of "WHILE ABROAD YOU MAY STILL REACH US ON BLAH BLAH
BLAH....)
And i end up as an ussatisfied customer dialing just from the other side of Doha
hope
they dont charge me for overseas call assistance if at all i have to
use the service....Well i am not taking any chances either.

i wanted to express is QTEL being developed so much in technology
is losing customer satisfaction due to negligence of employees. i still
appreciate the efforts made by QTEL in advancing in technology and
indeed machines are doing a better job than humans.
I eagerly wait to see a tsunamic change in the structure of QTEL's customer service.
THE ORACLE
That's the problem of a monopoly. They can always put you on hold since you don't have anywhere (competitors) to go to. However, it is a systemic problem that exists not only in Qtel but in other large companies that have a big subscription base. Name it... phone company, utilities, banks, etc. The concept of customer service and satisfaction has not fully sunk in yet. Then again coz we still don't have other BETTER choices around...
Let's just hope that the 2nd license (Vodafone) will do a better job at it.

Waiting is endless and painful. Qtel has only speakers no earphones. No wayz guys.

yup yup happened too many times to me that i lost count that i put the phone on speaker and go abt my chores......lol
life's too short so make the most of it, you only live but once.......
