Thank you novita for bringing this thread back to where it belonged. Seems the QL habit of responding to questions with anything but an answer continues.

i must say i feel u r lucky being sane. in my previous company, we used to work in night shifts..at that time i used to feel strange coz wen all of my friends sleep, i'm awake and wen i'm asleep.. they are out..

have many frinds workign in the night shifts who are married.. some wives sleep in the night wen their husbands are at work and wen the guys come home and sleep. they don't get to see their kids other than on offs. in day time, kids are off to skool. sometimes, the worse thing happens wioth working couples. one's in night shift and the other's in day shift. they meet only on off days.. and most companies work on weekends. so off days may b any weekdays. in that case.. their married life is just like a hide and seek. living in the same house but they contact thru fones wen in office.!!

i know what you mean ... Hard to invite all of my girlfriends who are Pilot's Wife in the same time. Very hard all hubbies have a day off in the same day.

They asked me out as a couple night out ... but it is always happened on the weekdays when their hubby off while my hubby don't.

I am sure you will find your way around in Doha ... and soon will find friends that in the same wave length with you.

Take care :-)

thanks novita,i have already, and i am surprised that samaway hasnt heard of any in qatar.we r a very large number and literally from all over the world.and we do have issues, like having to be single mothers even though we r in a marriage, having to do everything when our hubby is not home,in my case my son's first step, first smile, first word, first day at the nursery were all missed by his dad ,in some cases drive them to work at really weird hrs, drop them off at ASHGAL's favourite road the airport road ( which they have been digging every single meter of ) for the past 2 years, having to deal with not having yr husband during holidays, birthdays nor anniversaries unless he requests that specifc day to be off from the previous month.

we have a life that is so different from normal people,as wives our husbands sleep at wierd hrs wake up at weird hrs work at weird times in a dangerous field.thats tough.

this is part of what we go thru.......i wanted to share with u all and especially ones who can relate to what i am saying.if u think its silly or u cant relate pls dont post just find an interesting topic and have fun there.

hmm it will be interesting to read about the "issues" pilot wives may have. the only one i can think of are the awkward timings.

Pilot wives?

Haven't heard of any in Qatar. Hope you get one who could join you. Keep asking for the person you want and you will get. Let not people force you to interact with them.

When a person becomes a friend in QL,no need of separate each profession association.

If you have such association,u wl be inviting more trouble than happiness,B co's of professional jealousy.

In forum there are many present working airline staff and I am also an ex-airline staff, like me there may be few.

We all can interact.

STAY SAFE,BE SANE as u have a TODDLER and a PILOT who will take off with HAPPINESS
