QL is under attack
by spammers
nearly all the classifieds and today forums too are filled with junk
obvioulsly mods cannot be expected to personally control this
so my suggestion for a solution is citizens policing
admin please add a flag as spam / mark as fake button to the interface so people can help you weed out the garbage .
offenders should face lifetime ban
Exactly translator, this spammers are from outside doha of course! mod must take an action against this problem, or else most QL users will be in risk.
Most these people are from outside Qatar. Have a registration method to confirm that these people do actually reside here in order to post an ad. Simple IP filter will do.
it's not easy, ask our friends to trade hand to hand in person, if anybody tell that they do shipping and all just have to be avoid, it was very less but now days it has been increased, we can't stop alone, have to be united and we need support from mod also! lets hope to do it successfully!

even though there is a flag as scam button in classifieds
it does not give feedback to other users whether an ad has been flagged as scam previously or not
if an ad had been flagged atleast the colour of the post title text should be different. so that other users atleast know what to avoid
this is really easy coding and can be implemented easily
Yeah, we discussed several times regarding about this issue on QL, but cannot control, better thing is just avoid them and keep inform our friends to avoid those spammers, lets hope for good results always!
Capcha will be one solution, but I have a feeling that QL managers are enjoying the ad revenue generated by these fake posts
the classifieds especially mobiles are flooded with scams
if nothing else its a waste of time to in clicking the add calling a dud phone no only to find out it does not exist, and clicking back,
i might as well click once more and mark the add as a scam so that i can prevent other fellow QLers from wasting their time
