QL Beach Fest 2009 - Thank You.
One word to describe this great event......WOW!!!!
Alright first of all sorry for the long delay in this, it should have been sooner, but the KAT needed his beauty sleep and time to process everything so i could....oh screw that who am i kidding i just needed to do something IN office to look busy so here I am pretending to work while i type away on QL lol.
Thank you all for the kind words of appreciation. I've read everyone's comments and i cant tell you how happy it makes me and KSA feel to have been able to pull off this event not for anything else but for the citizens for QL who deserved it.
This wont be complete without me thanking a few major Ql'ers who really helped out before, during and after the beach event. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Jailbroken and his friend were the first to arrive at around 3.20ish which was a blessing in disguise coz not only did we use his car to barricade the QL spot, we also used up most of his mountain dew's to quench our thirst lol. Big thanks guys.
Andrews, I know it must have gone un-noticed but dude THANK YOU for looking after the bbq's. It was a major help for us without which i think we'd all be starving that night :) Also there were others who looked after the bbq including me but Andrews was there longer so he deserves a big pat on his back. Our silent hero who came, saw, bbq'ed.
All the beautiful ladies. OMG! Never could i have imagined QL holds so many beauties. Heck i think our next QL event should be a beauty pageant. The true stars of the evening. I dont know what was making me sweat more, the heat from the coals or the lovely ladies. You always bring elegance to any gathering. I hope everyone behaved well and thank you all for bringing all that lovely food.
Gosh so much to say but i dont want to make this too long and boring. Nadine and Lord the cute couple of the evening thank you guys for coming and sharing your argile with kitty kat :), FS next time put a leash on your hubby, gosh he was in the water most of the time. Then again i know that was your whole plan so u could run around the beach pretending to be single and ready to mingle lol! Lovely koftas btw now i know who to catch for food :p
Arien/pajju you know what i'm going to thank you both for so smile when u read this. :P
OMG i cant end this without OUR MAIN ATTRACTION of that evening..WITCHSTIX..actually she blackmailed me to add her name in this thank you thread. bloody attention seeker. None the less truth be told, without her smoke would have been lost, she helped out in more ways than she knows, and even though it was a little bit stressful at times to deal with everyone and everything she always managed to make me smile. :)
Short note to all those who were putting Smoke & KSA down for this event. I hope you came and saw for yourself, read everyone's comments on how it was a BIG SUCCESS. Even if you think the way it was planned out was Sh*t, let me just say that even unplanned plans sometimes turn out to be the best, if you have the right people around to share a good moment, and warm smile, and loads of laughs. You know who you are, and i bet your mouths are shut now. You people didn't contribute anything towards helping us and yet have the guts to say it will be a failure coz YOU were not part of the planning. Dont be a joke, others may praise you for other things but dont mess with the KAT.
Speed, Darude, Khanan dont think we havent forgotten you guys. Thanks for supporting us. It was good to see you there :)
Last but not least forgive me if i've left many names out you know who you are and KSA and I appreciate you being part of the event and all the help you guys gave us.
This event was a BIG success...and we cant spell SUCCESS without 'U'..each and everyone of YOU!

though a little belated, wanted to thank you for the lovely evening. It was the best QL gathering that i have been to. (there might have been many more which I havent been to, ofcourse!). the open space and being able to move freely without the confines of brick walls and furniture.......made it very convenient to circulate.

before ramada seems bit early you need to give those time who are on vacation to land soon in Qatar. and by Ramadan i think most of them will be here. i will prefer Ramada. and mid of ramadan when there will be full moon. IF YOU REMEMBER THE LONG DRIVE NIGHT AND OUR STOP AT DUKHAN BEACH AT MIDNIGHT WITH FULL MOOON was wonderful.
Why not a trip to some ghost TOWN to see and entract with some GHOST in the NIGHT ?

Next should be a long drive to THAT beach in Dukhan before Ramadan Or during Ramada evening time with PROPER LIGHTS this time and few tents. for that you need to be there before sunset. or if not that beach then Fuwairit beach is also good but rocky not clean like Dukhan.

BBQ was very good, Albadar was doing BBQ as well as sea bath:)
As he feels bit hot sitting near the BBQ Grill, withing seconds he was in sea:P
chaudary haave to go back a bit earlier but tell me how was the BBQ ... our great albadar was raoming around it all time...

First up, Hope everyone's doing fine... and had a pleasant time over the weekend...!
Alright people:
Indeed it is a sorry from myself too for delaying this simple mention of Thank You for a long time but it had to wait cos a few others needed quick importance but this wasn't forgotten.
True it is, that one needs to be in mine or Smoke's shoes to see, or to feel the happiness it gives us to find that such an amazing bunch of people turned out and had a really good time at the Beach Fest...2009. Words are merely not just enough to put them down...
Other than the list that Smoke has already said thanks, in addition to them, there are a few others that we'd like to extend our sincere gratitude...
1) Ashwindoke(baby), thanks for getting your lazy ass up in time and make it with us to the beach early in time, and praying with us two so as to reserve THE spot WE WANTED!!! As it goes, we weren't sleeping, neither would we have let you too!
2) A special mention of thanks to Draj and Alpha and Smoke's (+2: his friends) who were at the BBQ Station supplying the rest with Food...I know you guys sweated it out there and thanks to that...
3) To all those lovely people who brought in so much of food (not to forget the two lovely ladies who promised us Cakes and brought them) and to the rest who brought in Ice-Boxes, Grills, Drinks (Soft-Drinks I mean), Water, thanks for supporting this event guys and girls...
4) This Thank You wouldn't be special if I dont take this opportunity to say a word or two about the WONDERFUL Ladies who turned up on the evening...Ladies, each one of you is quite stunning to say the least and very soon, QL Beauty Paegant should be on the way, (AND THIS FOR SURE< WILL BE DONE BY SMOKE AND KSA ONLY, NOONE ELSE! :P)
5) A quick thanks to the QLPG Group who turned up and had a really good time and shared their BBQ with the rest...
6) Speed, Khanan, X-Ray: Thanks for the Ice-Boxes (filled with lotsssa Ice), and Grills, your support is appreciated and your presence was honestly MISSED! But nonetheless, NEXT TIME, but Thanks for THIS TIME!
7) To all the members of the Beach Cleaning Campaign at the end of the day: Witchstix, Safee, Bilutopia, Ashwin, Rebel, Khemcho, Mufy, Reddragon (And his Better half, the other GUY :P), Starfish, Teenay, and another little one, and I'm sure I'm missing just a couple of others...Thanks Guys...
8) And ofcourse I would also like to mention, thanks for everyone who supported the noble cause of Pouring Ice-COLD WATER on ASHWINDOKE towards the end of the day :D

Just one question, exactly where was everyone at?? I got there at 3o'clock with my grill, table, food and stuff and could not find what I thought was the Beach Fest. Of course I am new and do not know anyone from Adam but I thought I would locate the party. I waited and drove around until 6, by which time it was a zoo. So I wonder if I was ever in the right spot. The beach just next to the Diplomatic Club? That is where I was at.
Oh tinay your my new best friend..even if its a lie..at least SOMEONE out of all the women finally said I'M HOT! SHEESH is it that hard to make a kat feel good about himself?
