Qatar's Heritage Souq
It's been a long time since i had been to the Old Souq near Souq al Ahmed the only place in Doha where you can spen some time outdoors and get to hang out with friends and see lots of the most traditional stuff of Doha. Especially the handicrafts and pictures etc from the old days like back in the 60's,70's or 80's...
The place is just so full of culture it makes you feel like your in a totally different country itself. There are shops there with Falcons being sold and tons of shops with old knick knacks and traditonal items like the sowrds and old Currency and coins etc...
Not to forget there are quite a few restaurants where u get the traditional snacks and Sheesha and the yummy Tea of course... I believe they even have some performances of locals signing and dancing on the weekends, now being Ramadan it should be better...
It's definitely a good place to spend time with your Family and Friends and if you have visitors from out of town it would be ideal to take them there...
Ramadan Kareem to Everyone !!!!!!!
When are the performances during Ramadan? What are the opening times for the shops?
i would love to go there, can u tell me the exact directions please.....i m coming from matar qadim
