Qatari charged with murdering American lover

From the Sidney Morning Herald:

http://www.smh.com.au/wa-news/man-accused-of-killing-gay-lover-to-stand-...

A man accused of murdering his lover in Subiaco last year will stand trial in November.
Mohammed Ahmed Almansouri, 38 of Qatar, appeared via videolink in Perth Supreme Court today, charged with the murder of US citizen, Ken Horack, last August.
The Texan died after being stabbed 14 times in the neck and chest in a Barker Road home.

It is believed Mr Horack was involved in a love triangle, sharing the home in which he died with his long-term partner whilst also romantically involved with Mr Almansouri.
Mr Almansouri, who was helped by an Arabic interpreter, is in custody at Hakea Prison awaiting trial.

The trial, which is expected to last three weeks, has been listed for November 5.

This is a worrying story and will no doubt receive a great deal of world press coverage--especially given Qatar's controversial stance on homosexuality and the World Cup.

No touching! My father taught me that when I was like 10..Look but don't touch. When I'd walk with my wife or girlfriend and some goddess was walking towards us I'd always do everything in my power not to look at her. As the beautiful stranger got closer and closer the pressure would get to the point where it felt like my head was in a vice, and my ears would start ringing but I'd stay strong and look the other way until the coast was clear. It was very hard not to look but I did it out of respect for what ever woman I was with at the time..

Thats Rule #12- Don't look at other women, ever!

Mr. Almansouri is not a homosexual, the victim was. He was a US tourist who came to visit his "boyfriend" who he met online. Mr. Almansouri did not even know he was living with a homosexual. The victim was intoxicated and tried to "inappropriately" approach Mr. Almansouri, and the rest is history.

I would totally do the same.

I don't think the fact he is gay really has anything to do with it, he alleged to have murdered someone so he will stand trial.

It will not get reported here as only happy stories are allowed. If it was a gay Indian who was resident in Qatar then maybe you would read about it....

being a hypocrite and blind to reality won't do you any good. Learn to respect what's in front of you. Stop being idealistic and start being a realistic and open minded. You can't change the fact that gays are EVERYWHERE and that includes the middle east. And you just have to live with that.

Or you can opt to eradicate each and every gay if that makes your world more secure.
