if you are living close or near industrial area then it maybe a real thief but if not and you are residing farther in a common neighborhood then most of the time those boys running around the area got a crush with your bike and borrow it for a while...try to jog around afterwork..surely you'll find it after a few days or so.

I truly feel for ya as far as you losing the bike goes but were you really that naive to assume such stuff doesn't happen in Qatar? I pretty much realized the harsh reality within my first few months of being here itself, when my brand new wallet with 500QR was stolen from my handbag at the New World Center! And this was at a time when the going was tough and that money meant so much to us. But Qadar Allah masha fa'l, at least it taught me to be more careful and know the difference between "no crime" and "low crime"
