Some 2,000 people turned out at the Omar ibn Al Khatab Mosque after Friday prayer today to protest an anti-Islam YouTube video made in the US.

We are all entitled to voice our opinions and disagree with each other. We all have the right to protest. BUT, it should all be done in a peaceful way.

By the way, I would rather that people saw the film first hand before protesting..

Peaceful Protest is the Right of every Person, I condemn what happened in Libya, Killing of the Ambassador, looked like a Pre-Planned, or Splinter Cells took Advantage of the Situation...

Personally, I haven't seen the Video, Nor have the Guts to see Someone Insulting Our Prophet Mohommad (PBUH).

I am Glad, Qatari Residents came out in large numbers to register their Protest in a peaceful manner...

Yeah, but my point was that these yahoos make up a very small minority of the Muslim people.

If prophet Mohammed was still alive, he wouldn't like what those people have done in Tunisia and Libya..

Muslims are not AGGRESSIVE!

There are many ways to defend the honour of prophet Mohammed and Islam.

The worst thing is, I am pretty much sure that even half of those who sets the stores to fire, kills innocent people, etc., haven't seen a movie or even a trailer.. but they do it only because they were told to.. THIS is what's scary..

Ryan, the film is made by unprofessional solo-psycho, while the riots around the muslim world are well planned and arranged quite professionally, and obviously not by a single person, but by certain groups and organizations. That makes it different. I personally see it as if some professional riot organizers are just looking for another reason to stir the chaos...

This crappy "movie" could have been left completely unnoticed... Someone used it for the next round of riots, fight and murders...

^Good point, but in the same vein those yahoos who killed the Ambassador to Libya do not represent all Muslims. The entire episode just festers hate. It is a real tragedy.

Inshallah, no one in Qatar is stupid to blame others for who made and posted this sick video. Why is it though, ppl seem to blame this on the American government ? They can not sensor all media thst gets made and uploaded to youtube. Usa is not china. There is no censorship in place to filter out ppl uploading bad things to spark rage and their hate or stupid mentality.

Like Secretsry of State Hilary Clinton says, The U.S. Government and other Americans had nothing to do with this!!!!

Only hold the film maker and staff directly responsible! Let the Governemnt take action the Egyptian man they claim made it , fine him, jail him, deport him, or something . Don't back-lash inocent all americans!

not all Americans have the same views as this sick person and the ones who were in the film. There are over 2million Muslims in USA, we live as neighbors to each other, and live in peace.

Just because he was living in America does not mean he represents all Americans!

Salam

Kudos to the large turnout to make the point heard. Certainly protest that awful, thoughtless and tasteless video!

But hopefully, no backlash for Americans working and living in Qatar though.
