Qatar Museum of Islamic Art

I visited this today and had a great time. Although it's not everyone's taste I would recommend a visit. The building alone is something else. All the staff were very nice, polite, helpful and knowledgeable about the exhibits. The pieces they have on display are immaculate and you cannot believe they are centuries old. And it was far from busy, we breezed around without any fuss. Well worth the wait and a visit.

the museum entry is free. I believe the times are from 10:30am until 5:30pm, on fridays is 2pm - 8pm - they're closed on Tuesdays.

If you're into art then leave youself a few hours to wonder around, there is quite a lot to see...

Compared to other "Islamic" museums around the world, this one is quite different. One of the best i've seen... Well worth the visit

I am planning to go tomorrow. Hope it won't be too crowded that time. Is there an entrance fee?

It's true that had working hadn't killed anyone yet, but why to take risk?
