Interesting list by arabian business of the regions most influential expats...
I have picked the people here in Qatar with their ranks and their nationalities
The list though is inclined towards employees rather than entrepreneurs or there are a few other names that should have made it to the list...
You can go to the lists if you want to know more about the individuals

http://www.arabianbusiness.com/expat-powerlist/list?clr=2&sort=rank&flt_...

2 Tony Burman Canada Media & Marketing
4 Kenneth Shen USA Banking & Finance
6 Stuart Pearce United Kingdom Banking & Finance
21 Grahame Maher Australia Technology
22 R. Seetharaman India Banking & Finance

QL is a mini-Qatar... mods are locals and QLers are expatriates

the mods are our sponsors...

you need an RP to come in... ie. the username

if you misbehave, your RP will be cancelled... ie. banned

but if your sponsor allows, you can get in with a new visa

but if you are really in good with the sponsor, you can get away with murder :-)

employing 10000 people and being on the Director board of Commerce does not mean that you are influential :-p

I read Yusuf Ali is planning to start an airline of his own...

vahab is also an entrepreneur

I guess arabian business is of the opinion that money is not equal to influence

I guess if you have 'true influence'... you can MAKE someone pay you money rather than make money on your own :-)
