We heard through the grape vine that there was a new place in town that served authentic Qatari food, Qatari fusion food, and just international good food.
Here's the thing; it is all prepared and cooked by the Qatari owners themselves... every single day.
Located in The Avenue Hotel we checked out WeCafe, the brainchild of four Qataris who met on social media and were passionate about food and delicious cuisine.
Their backgrounds are just as diverse as the cuisine they serve! From pilots to art teachers they all came together to cook the people of Qatar some awesome food.
Their food tasted home cooked, and as we had Qatari QL'ers with us, they attested this was authentic home cuisine.
We were grateful there was finally a place we could order Machbous and the price point was great too (50QR and easily feeds two).

The prices are good, the food is good, and it has a cozy atmosphere. Bring some friends and try various dishes like we did (clearly, as you can see below).

There is one fancy element here... it was the desserts! We had the Wanassa Cake (which means happy cake in Arabic) and we tried Zaffrana Cake, these were good, and we mean really bad for your diet good :)

Shamya, You are lucky one to visit such a nice place . Let them get used to the customers rush , you will sure see a major improvement. Did you taste Zaffrana .... ? ..........
i`ve been there and food taste well
but the service needs a lot of improvements
there were no menu yet when i visisted the place

The Avenue Hotel ? That's the place I suggested to a colleague who is ready to give us a small private party at the Sept. salary .............. waiting impatiently ................
