I agree 100 per cent with nomerci.
Nothing says diletante like making (or having someone else make and then claim as your own) and unusable racket for a largely obscure game.
Qatar's other great records include the most expensive mobile number, and someone visiting Qatar who managed to put 66 bubbles inside a single large soap bubble.
My favorite, however, is the record for the largest game of hide-and-seek. What the judges did not realize, however, was that the it was not a game but really a large group of maids hiding from their employers. Either that or someone walked into the local mall Haggen-dasz one afternoon and said to the manicured local customers "who would like to do some manual labor?".
Brit, no, I think not. Achievements should be in the Guinness book, not having somebody (most probably not Qatari) build a squash racket.
a typical competition between Doha & Dubai

@britexpat well there is a record in the Book of Guiness for the biggest orgies , I don't see why this shouldn't be included!
Congratulations, but should this type of thing really be in the Guiness Book of World Records ?
I think not!
