Qatar Airways Online Checkin to be launched

By amnesia

As of October 20th, Qatar Airways will be offering online checkin up to 36 hours before departure.

All you need to do is go to www.qatarairways.com and you can finish it all on there.

What’ll happen is you can print out your boarding pass or save it to your phone, and you’ll just need to present it to be scanned at border control. This is ONLY from flights departing from Doha.

If you’ve got luggage, then there will be special desks allocated so that you can check-in your luggage.

It’s modern thinking. Now I just need to scan my mobile to take a flight!

Have anyone tried it yet. I did, it did not work for me. i tried both optiops, Booking Ref and E-Ticket number. The system said they were wrong. Ironically, I can use the Booking Ref and E-T number to Review my flights, but the check-in page did not recognize them.

qatarairways.com Online check-in will go live this week. (I hear tomorrow)

A number of desks have been made available at DIA for fast bag drop

ONLY customers who have checked in online can use these desks if they have bags, quicker!

If no bags, you go straight to the gate.

you still have to check in your luggage, even though some airways give the priority to those who checked-in on line, and therefore you can avoid a long queue.

Also somebody said in other thread that he “saw these knew desks for fast bag drop”… http://www.qatarliving.com/node/232752

it could be for those who checked-in on line, i guess

hey, that's pretty neat!but does this e-checkin mean that we lose our chance of getting our seats upgraded to business class?and what about our luggage?do we have to go to the usual queue counters?even tough we have our boarding passes ready?

Keep smiling!

I've flown with Aeroflot twice and yeah they are crap - they don't pretend to be anything else as they are a cheap no-frill airline.

QA however consider themselves to be a "5 star airline" but the cost of flying with them is ridiculous... so you can't compare the two.

well.. it's about a time.. :)

but first they at least have to fix their booking on line.. some crucial errors still happen.. people get charged twices and even triple for never issued tickets..

but hey.. you know what i'll tell you guys! after using Aeroflot recently, i have to admit that comparing to them, QA ARE 5-stars airlines! or maybe even 8 stars!

Aeroflot is just hopeless!

so...Everything is relevant. Be grateful that you don’t have to fly with the Aeroflot!

Great news for the customers, but what about the staff who are exploited.....seriously curfews?? how backwards is that?? I would prefer an airline that don't have to complain to their customers why they are so depressed!!

Hallelujah!

Better late than never I guess. They're slowly creeping their way to actually being a 5* airline.
