the procrastinators..

Aside from QLing, what should you be doing right now?

If you're gonna ask me, I should be preparing for today's meeting. But I'm gonna do it later before I go to bed. I love the last-minute.. I am weird.

Wait, are you in the office pretending you're doing your work? Should you be revising your tasks/projects or finishing your 5000 word essay?

Be honest, do you hide QatarLiving every time your superior comes near? And how about you boss, how would you feel it you see one of your subordinates not doing his/her work?

Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.

Now, are you a procrastinator? Its just for fun. ;o)

Hmm.. do I hide? Nope.

I'm an efficient secretary. I speed read and speed post so I don't spend much time surfing. I use QL as breaks and quick breathers in my busy workday, somewhat like a quick reward after finishing something or as a filler while waiting for something to get done. Usually don't waste time, learn new things (from other people's PoV and experiences, gain new info as much as possible). Only read the 3 tabs on the right hand side of my screen.

As to how would I feel if I see one of my subs not doing his/her work - you mean if s/he's surfing QL and not working? I don't care PROVIDED they don't take too much time AND more importantly, the work that needs to be done, gets done. Focus is always work, during working hours (and where necessary, beyond working hours).

I hate excuses and justifications why something cannot be done. If something cannot be done for the time being, think of a (legal) way sort it out at some time in the near future and not just sit back and accept that the matter cannot be solved. Think and spend more time working on a possible solution. For the subs who are capable of thinking and working fast and efficiently, I don't care if they surf QL or any other (legal) site.

britexpat - there are problems with that - I'm no beauty and what do I do with the food I've cooked? Are you suggesting that I experiment with my neighbours as guinea pigs? Jail doesn't look very appealing.

/I can survive easily on my cooking (as I'm still alive and obviously not starving after all these years) but I don't think anyone else can, unless they have medical insurance.

//If it becomes relevant, I'll need to ask your beauty for lessons.

There is no spectacle on earth more appealing than that of a beautiful woman in the act of cooking dinner for someone she loves.

Now go get that pinny on and get cooking..

Was supposed to start baking cakes ... but that gas oven looks suspicious. Time to get an electric oven.. someday...

/I know, I know ... justifications, justifications.. well, until someone gives me reason to change my focus, I'll be buying cakes and/or camping in friends' kitchens.

Truthfully I like this forum.

Why?

It opens up people to confess or smile about their habits on the job or at home.

I'm not going to tell you the time I spend in QL, It is pretty much organized.

Got to go and have a great Day folks.

Yesterday I was going to write and post my Christmas Cards when I got home from the gym, but I opened QL and FB and then it was time to cook supper.

So today I decided to write the Christmas Cards this morning - or shall I go to the Camel Dressage event at Al Rayyan .. hmmm Whilst thinking about this (when I got up at 6.00) I put FB up on screen and then QL. It's now 8.00.

Before I know it, it will be lunchtime and I won't have done the cards nor gone to Al Rayyan.

Maybe I should get someone to hide my laptop away for a couple of days! lol
