People stood by and filmed suicidal woman on tracks rather than helping her

A commuter managed to save a woman’s life by dragging her off train tracks while fellow passengers filmed on their phones rather than helping.
Sam Nicholson, 26, had turned up to Belevedere station for his normal commute when he noticed the mum-of-three sitting on the tracks last Tuesday.
As he saw the train approaching, he immediately grabbed her and lifted her on to the platform.
He said: ‘I was screaming at other commuters but no one helped. Some people were even filming the woman on their phones. I was so angry with the lack of help.’
‘I needed to do something and I’m pleased that I did. A fast train was going to pass Belvedere station so I just dragged her up on to the platform – we were both lucky.’
But rather than thank Sam, the woman tried to break free and jump back on to the tracks, so he had to resort to sitting on her as other passengers just watched on.
He said: ‘She was hitting me and screaming – I literally had to sit on her to make sure she didn’t move away.
Sam, who has an eight-year-old son, said: ‘Officers shook my hand and called me a hero.
‘I ended up putting my life at risk to save her and I was shocked that not one person helped in any way – there were more than 10 people watching.’
Sadly, many are too busy taking photos to share on social media …. We see an accident and the first thing we do is take out our phone :O(
Accha, In the world , in today's time , you can't trust anyone , considering the law & it's functioning of any particular place .............. May be she wanted to test her Husband's reaction to her extreme step ?
Which has been spoiled .... now ............
Brit, Cameras are new to a human being who may be millions of years old species on this earth so we make video for the people who were not present there, just to show them not just tell a dry story only ..... ..... after seeing it everybody will just disperse after giving a comment or two .........
MM has his own "philosophical" way of looking at things.
MM: Be serious .. Someone else could have helped.. But they were too busy trying to capture the moment to share with their friends..
Agree with Richard here ..
Crazy world in which we find ourselves. People would rather get the "kill" shot, then offer assistance. So much for "anti-social" media.
To save one person, one is sufficient, it has been proved now by Sam himself . Humans can't keep their eyes shut when walking in a street . .............
