Penalty for late in giving 3 months notice

My lease expired 1st Sept and I have over-looked the date. I received a revised new contract from my landlord on the 12 Sept. Immediately, I informed them that I intend to move out 30th Nov (3 mths notice).

I received a letter from my landlord today saying that they agreed for me to terminate my contract on the 30th Nov BUT I have to pay rent till the 10th Dec for informing them 10 days late!

Please, anyone can give advice on what should I do as I don't want to pay the extra 10 days.

Thanks

It is a very expensive accommodation, for 10 days 5000QAR already. Are you paying your accommodation 15K monthly?
