Patrick Moore has died
Of only limited interest here I know
British astronomer Patrick Moore, renowned for his work mapping the Moon's surface, died on Sunday at the age of 89
Mr Moore fronted the monthly BBC programme The Sky At Night for 55 yrs since 1957, making him the world's longest-running presenter of the same television show.
He believed he was the only person to have met Orville Wright, the first man to fly; Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space; and Neil Armstrong, the first man on the Moon.
An amazing man. A true gentleman. Perhaps the last of his generation. Used to avidly watch his programs. May he rest in peace.
For a moment I though you said Roger Moore. Sad nevertheless... RIP
He,s a good man,
RIP mr. Moore
