Paradise Lost
By KellysHeroes •
Came across this report which is written by The Guardian's Robert Fisk in July 2006. Wanted to share it with you guys for the interesting information and nice decriptive way that draws a nice painting about Beirut. Just realized that although am deeply in love with my city and obviously my country, a British reporter living there for 30 years happens to know much more than what I know.
This is not intended for any type of political/religious/cultural debate. If interested, do read the way I did. Just select the parts you like and ignore the rest:

ALthough it was very sad to read, i enjoyed this article. HAving also recently come back from Lebanon, i also felt sad for what the Lebanese people have to endure. Despite all these obstacles and hardship, they remain very hospitable and always seem to persevere with their lives the best way they can. Honestly hats off to them....
KH, a very interesting Article. Beirut has been one of my favourite cities in the world and it is said to see how it is now.
yes all is well and looking forward to see you all very soon.
rest assured I will not mess with a cat having sharp claws:)
