Owning a VolksWagen

Hey guys;

I'm thinking about buying a new volkswagen but some people told me owning a volkswagen in Qatar can be troublesome so i came here to ask for advice .

I used to have one and I am getting a new one this week. It is a nice car and the main dealership are good people (Q Auto on Salwa Road). It is also one of the few dealerships that offer huge discounts on some cars during events like 18 of December and Sports day etc. If you are buying new then you should not care about spare parts and maintenance for 3 years at least. Just make sure you always have a full insurance not the cheap third party one

My wife has a VW and its a beautiful car - however, the local dealer offers a very poor after sales service, and the cost for parts in Qatar are ridiculously expensive!

I recommend going for Japanese or Korean cars - much better in my opinion.
