i am pregnant for almost 2 months now.. my job as an office secretary requires an exposure to computer radiation for 9 hours a day/6 days a week.. i've heard that radiation will affect the formulation of the fetus.. i am afraid.. is it true? can anyone share advise what to do best?
i was working full time & driving abt 90 minutes a day to come & go from my work, the baby's fine - she one year and a half now.. just dont stress yourself out, if ur working, dont sit all day, try to walk arnd the office.
p.s. radiation from the ultrasound machine is dangerous so dont over do the ultrasond thingie unless ur o.b. advises. i have an aunt who likes to do this, all her four babies ended up left handed - there is some study abt this... i'll have to check and give u the link
absolutely not true...i agree with the recent post!!
only thing that can affect your pregnancy is what you feel...the fetus in your womb is very sensitive on your emotions! so relax...enjoy the feeling of carrying the result of your love..and always think positive!!!!!!be happy....
r.jwell yes its very true exposure to radiations during pregnancy can cause problems to foetus .but dear its exposure to X-RAYS that cause problem not computer radiations right so relax n enjoy.
kagandahang mommy ...i have four kids and i'm exposed to computer more than you can imagine(12/24; 7/0) all computers nowadays have screen filter so nothing to worry about but if you feel a little bit scary especially for first born better to wear a black cloth underneath and from time to time you can take a little walk...enjoy being a mom

but in china, doctors do suggest you keeping far away from the computer, especially at the first 2-3 months

I asked my doctor during my last pregnancy baout this very same issue, she laughed and assured me that there is nothing to worry about.
On the other hand, she told me to stay far from microwave ovens while operating and to try to keep the mobile phone as far as possible from my body.
Oh and if you are concerned about anything just ask your doctor, thats what they are there for.
NO!! Not true- but one thing that will affect the baby is you stressing out, so relax and enjoy your pregnancy!
And congratulations :)
